NASHVILLE — Governor Bill Haslam spoke out on Thursday to explain why he won’t be voting for Donald Trump and will be writing in a different Republican. Haslam said he still believes it would be best for the Republican Party if Trump steps aside and lets Mike Pence be the presidential nominee. He said he had to speak out about this race because he thinks the long-term impact on the Republican Party will be critical.

Haslam said today he didn't vote for Trump. He, mayor of Nashville and Rep Black all backed Rubio. They should be done politically but Nashville is not Tennessee anymore. Nashville is liberal and Memphis is black but Tennesseans vote.

The name did sound rather Muslim-ish to me....but GOP Governor William Edward "Bill" Haslam's surname originated in England and is quite a common name in NW England, especially in and around Manchester.
