Russia's ambassador to Turkey has been assassinated allegedly in retaliation for the crisis in Aleppo.
The gunman reportedly said in Turkish "We die in Aleppo, you die here" before opening fire and injuring Ambassador Andrei Karlov.

from Aljazeera:
“Don’t forget Aleppo, don’t forget Syria,” the attacker said in Turkish, after gunning down the ambassador, as seen in a video shared by Turkish media from the scene.
“Whoever took part in this cruelty will pay the price, one by one ... Only death will take me from here,” the man said while holding a pistol.
He then continued in Arabic, saying: “We are the descendants of those who supported the Prophet Muhammad, for jihad.”
Granted, those two photos limit the view and leave room for 'interpretation'.
I have been told that a separate video does show blood. More info provides better conclusions.
I do find it hard to 'believe' what I 'see' on the news, because many times it is fake. Therefore I tend to be very skeptical until I can confirm the 'news'.
Why did this Ambassador not have any 'security' ? Why was this assassin allowed entrance, and to sit behind the Ambassador, and have a GUN ?
Thanks for your response.
Many are saying he was only shot once, through the heart. Others say he was shot once, in the spine. You are saying there were multiple wounds. One of the bullet pushed a piece of his clothing (probably his tie) through one of the wounds in his abdomen. So the 'claim' none of the bullets went 'through' his body would then be wrong. And where's the blood, if it did go 'through' ?
I wouldn't be questioning these things if I thought that the 'media' (here and in other countries) always told the 'truth', and if I believed that 'governments' never did anything wrong or faked 'incidents' to gain power or fool the populace into 'favoring' some 'action'.
I doubt that Russia will go nuclear but I think that Turkey is going to be in very deep doo-doo.
I read initially that this guy was part of the security team.
I heard the audio. The guy I think emptied several bullets into the man.
Not very good 'security'.
You can see the video showing the ambassador's reaction the instant he is hit. The killer shot multiple times directly at the ambassador and, since the killer had both police and special forces training, he undoubtedly hit the ambassador with most, if not all the shots we hear.
You don't need any reporter or any person posting on the internet to tell you these things. You can hear and see them for yourself. Skepticism is one thing, but refusal to believe facts in front of your own eyes and coming to your own ears is quite another.
There is no absence of blood. Like all liquids, flowing blood will seek the lowest level -- in this case, through several layers of cloth and under the body of the ambassador who fell straight down and onto his back. He was wearing a dark suit and sweater, so you would not see blood easily in the images we have available.
Surely in your own life you've seen flowing blood from a cut or other injury. Blood drips or runs downward toward the floor, and if you put a cloth or cotton on it, the material absorbs the blood. There is absolutely no difference in this case of the ambassador's murder.
The images seem to indicate the assassin fired off possibly a dozen or more rounds, with spent brass all around him. Pure speculation on my part, but the other person on the floor could have been law enforcement/security who had also been shot by the assassin when they responded to the scene. Or maybe someone in the crowd who simply agitated the assassin, or a round meant for the Ambassador missed and hit a bystander. Who knows.
Those speculations are much like mine. It just seems odd that if there was another victim, they seem to be ignored...
My best guess on “why” the lack of mention of the other victim is shoddy reporting. After that, I suppose various tin foil theories can be construed!
Ok. But it appeared like the spring part of the slide rather than the magazine’s. It looked a little big, I thought.
Pretty clear that that's the magazine sans floorplate, especially when you can identify the pistol itself: http://gunwatch.blogspot.com/2016/12/pistol-used-in-russian-ambassador.html
The gun used was a Turkish-produced Canik TP9 variant in 9mm. Century imports a version of those into the US: http://centuryarms.biz/proddetail.asp?prod=HG3277-N
It looked too long and skinny to be a magazine, but I will accept your expertise. Thank you.
Just FYI, the stock magazine in a TP9 is a double-stack 18 rounder. There is also a factory version with a +2 extended floorplate that increases that to 20 rounds. Pistol magazines in wondernines are getting quite long.
For comparison, here’s a US market TP9 V2 (similar to what the assassin used) in its case with its magazine. Note size of magazine compared to length of slide.
