EVERY December, more than 1,000 female high school students, some as young as 15, take part in a bikini competition held in the eastern Chinese city of Qingdao. The event, hosted by Oriental Beauty, a modelling agency, provides a platform for aspiring flight attendants to show off their bikini bodies to eager recruiters from the Chinese airline industry. Those deemed the most attractive are invited to join a fast-track flight attendant trainee scheme, which can open the door to a dream job at one of Chinas big airlines.

Unenlightened Asians are not yet aware that in today’s world hetero attraction is a disgusting criminal perversion.

Good for the Asians. At least they aren’t ashamed of being attracted to good looking women.

So, instead of young, pleasant and attractive customer service agents, these airlines are supposed to use grouchy old grandmas in these positions.
I doubt many would line up to fly an airline with a flight attendant work force made up of old women that looked and acted line Hillery. (shudder_)

Meanwhile, here in the US, we search for the most haggard skags we can find — sort of a “Miss Truckstop Waitress” contest.
And fags. Lotsa fags on airlines these days.
Yeah, skags ‘n’ fags. Makes flying even more enjoyable.

FWIW, I've flown both Cathay Pacific and Singapore Airlines. Service on both is so good that you are actually a little disappointed when the flight arrives.
No, it doesn't hurt that they hire eye candy either.

I wonder if there is a sort of “I wish it were the ‘60’s and Sean Connery was still 007” thing going on in the minds of Asian marketing executives.

Is it exploitation if the woman themselves apply for the job?
They aren’t doing under force, right? I’m so confused.
These are the same chuckle heads that say marriage exploits woman (forced only marriage does).
Models are exploited (most pointed that out wouldn’t qualify).
So tiresome. “Professing themselves to be wise, they become fools”. (ROM 1:22)

I have flown with various airlines in the world and almost consistently, where the Labor Unions are king, the stewards and stewardesses are old or older. Yes, seniority and entrenchment rule and that means you get a very experienced but nearly retired person providing you a service while flying.
