Monica Crowley, a conservative radio host and Fox News analyst, is expected to be tapped by the Trump administration to be a deputy national security advisor, two sources familiar with the pick said.
The sources spoke on condition of anonymity because they were not authorized to speak about the choice. Crowley did not immediately return a request for comment.
Crowley, a self-described “happy warrior,” a loyal Trump supporter and advocate, had also been floated as a possible pick for White House press secretary.
In response to the speculation, Crowley told The New York Post, “It would be an honor to serve in the new administration.”
Her career in foreign policy began as a foreign policy assistant to former President Richard Nixon, according to her Fox News bio. She is a member of the Council on Foreign Relations and holds a Ph.D. in international affairs from Columbia University.

That’s Dr Monica Crowley. PhD in International Relations. Sounds like a good choice. Although she is a member of the CFR (I suppose it’s hard to get any work if you’re not though.)

Monica Crowley, a woman after my own heart. I listened to her and Frank Gaffney (when he was on) in the years following 9/11.
I heard some stories when then President Richard Nixon advised her to avoid law school, since lawyers are a dime a dozen, and pursue international affairs. I might be a little off base on the int’l affairs one, but the sum and substance is correct to the best of my recollection.
Great respect and admiration for Ms. Crowley.

Is there an NSC spokesperson? She might be involved in that type of work too. The NSC led by Gen. Flynn is going to have an important role in the Trump admin.

Monica’s good. Laura’s good. Kimberly Guilfoyle is OK but waaaay too much into herself. My choice is Tammy Bruce for Press Secretary.
Tammy Bruce. She spends no time and effort trying to be cute or precious. (Maybe ‘cause she’s a lesbian? Don’t know.) In any case, she’s all business, and has inside knowledge of how the libs think, work, and act ‘cause she was an activist. She can, and does, cut through their BS like a knife.
