Putin is wiping out crazy muzzies, which is a good thing. If we have to align with the devil to defeat the muslim menace, so be it. We did the same thing by aligning with the Ruskies in WWII to defeat Hitler. Things will get back to “normal” after the current war.

its about access to the EU market for natural gas...Russia would be the largest loser if the ME/Gulf States and Israel could connect up to the EU gas market. Russia is nothing more than a Petro State, just as the others are..
Libya and Iraq are off the market by design. Turkey and Jordan will just get mail box money for each cubic meter of gas that flows... Syria and Russia are currently in the way.
the wild card in this is Poland. Poland in the past few years has found large reserves of natural gas... look for lots of “political issues” in Poland soon if nothing gets resolved about Syria in the next 2-3 months. Poland will be the next Ukraine.
