A professor at the University of Southern California has barred her students from using the phrase illegal immigrant in their final exam for the class.
Alicia Chavez teaches the American studies course, America, the Frontier and the New West, a course that focuses on the intersecting historical processes and diverse peoples which have shaped the region of the North American West.
According to an email screenshot supplied by a student in the class, despite the class dealing substantially with illegal immigration into the United States, Chavez banned use of the term illegal immigrant on her students upcoming final exam. Instead, students have been ordered to use the term undocumented immigrant or unauthorized entry as a euphemism for such immigrants.

Can I presume ‘Criminalien’ would be verbotten as well?
How about, “Unconvicted felons”?
But I’m assuming she will accept “criminal invader”
Sounds like a clear case of violation of the Students First Amendment. Bring in the Class action Lawsuit!
Hey Alicia, did any of those students sign a waiver giving up their Constitutional rights?
If: Not STEM
Then: Not a real professor.
Period.

Illegal alien works...
Invader.
5th Column...
Is she one?
The term illegal alien is more correct. Immigrant denotes legality.
I don’t call them illegal immigrants.
I just call them illegals!!!!
I don’t believe Lecturers are actually Professors - she likely does not have tenure and might not even be an associate professor and is therefore little more than a grad student. Still, I would use the term undocumented alien in the US Illegally or In Violation of Immigration Law or Illegally violating the borders of the United States.
Unlawful Foreign Nationals
Unlawful Foreign Nationals
Unlawful Newcomer
Undocumented Democrat.
There correct term is illegal alien. Undocumented voters. Dead voters.
The professor is the one who reads the exams, right? So she is a snowflake, too.
