Harvard University law professor Larry Lessig said Tuesday that 20 Republican Electoral College voters are considering flipping to vote against Donald Trump, more than half the number of anti-Trump votes needed to stall the president-elect from being sworn into office.
"Obviously, whether an elector ultimately votes his or her conscience will depend in part upon whether there are enough doing the same. We now believe there are more than half the number needed to change the result seriously considering making that vote," Lessig told Politico.
Lessig has been offering free legal counsel to "faithless electors" who are considering casting a ballot for an alternative candidate as opposed to Trump, who earned 306 votes on Election Day, well above the necessary 270. . .

These #s are, of course, as accurate as the MSM’s pre-election polls!
There ARE 20 electors...but 19 are democrats.
Some, meaning very few, would.
The rest wouldn’t.
We saw that in 2008 and 2012. Most FReepers—the vast majority—were unhappy with Obama’s election and reelection, but we knew the vote was against us and we had to be better next time.
And most of us dislike the RINO, GOPe wing, and we frankly knew McCain and Romney was from that crowd. And to make matters worse, both of these milquetoasts didn’t fight.
We held our noses and voted.
But that’s why JEB and Kasich didn’t win the nomination this time. We went with the warrior.

For over three centuries this term meant something special -- a phrase of honor, accomplishment and respect.
Not so much anymore -- and a slap in the face to the minority of such professors who have been able to keep their emotions under the control of their rationality and a commitment to integrity.

Lefties are truly amazingly tone deaf. Although I know it won’t happen, these people actually think it will happen. And they also think that the world will be great if Hillary takes office. What they fail to understand is that if Trump is not inaugurated on Jan 20 there will be blood. They fail to understand that there will be consequences for a coup, and that will be a bloody counter coup that will make the French Revolution look like a tea party. haha. And in one way it will be the same. Just as French elites were out of touch with the suffering of their people, “let them eat cake”, so are the American elites just as out of touch with the American people. They underestimate us at their own peril.
