A Clinton campaign aide says that a typo in a March 19 email sent to John Podesta is to blame for opening the campaign chairmans Gmail account up to Russian cyber hackers.
The IT aide, Charles Delavan, tells The New York Times that his error typing the word legitimate instead of illegitimate to describe a hackers email continues to haunt him.
This is a legitimate email, Delavan wrote to Clinton campaign aide Sara Latham after she forwarded him an spear phishing email designed to look like official correspondence from Google.
John needs to change his password immediately, Delavan added, while also providing a link to a Google page that would have allowed Podesta to safely change his email password.

This is the kind of carelessness that can cause wars. We got lucky.
But what a Clinton aide says is false more than half the time.
The IT ace probably thought spell-check would preclude any need to proof read the email before it was sent.
EODGUY
No, they don’t back off.
This is laid out as if it’s how Russia got access.
More fake news...
With “auto complete”,I can believe it.
Fake news seem to be taking over. Podesta had a gmail account that anybody could have hacked. You can find plenty of hackers in internet forums willing to hack gmail accounts for a little bit of money.
The whole bs about Russians used to be funny but now is just annoying. The only evidence these morons have is a Washington Post article with anonymous sources.
What a hero... falling on his sword... throwing himself under the bus. Providing a backstory to involve those evil Russians. I am so impressed.

Yup, it’s possible, it’s credible, I’m thinking, yes, yes... starting to almost believe.....
NAH!
It’s crap.
Yep.
More smoking BS
The unsubstantiated Russian premise continues....
Look for a case of Arkincide in the future.

LMAO!
Wow. Nice pink lipstick you got there.
Notice how the writer sneaked in “Russian hackers...” As if it was a fact, a given. The insidiousness of these creeps is just beyond the pale. I watch for their little sneaky moves constantly and I’m pretty I miss a bunch. The low-information crowd just falls for it. Like a header. Into a cow-pie.
Charles, it’s not too late to kill yourself!
