You don’t get it. If someone tries to derail a nomination, trump will call them out personally to the American people. I don’t imagine he will pull any punches and DJT enjoys incredible support, an overwhelming mandate.
Anyone who stands against that mandate will be crushed. I don’t know how, but I know trump will crush them and succeed.
Sorry, you guys don’t get it. Little Marco won’t face an election for 6 years. I can assure you he doesn’t give a flip what President Trump tweets about him. If anything he will want to burnish his “maverick” credentials now. What Rubio does care about is what his Chamber of Commerce donors say. And if they deliver votes for Trump there will be a price to be paid. Count on it. That’s how the beltway swamp works. Understand?
One tweet of "Little Marco is holding up progress" and Marco will turn tail and run from the pressure the electorate will put on him...1, 2 or 6 years don't matter. There's other ways to exert pressure besides re-elections.
I think there’s a possibility Trump wants him to be rejected by the Senate because who he really wants would be rejected too. But they won’t be able to reject a second pick.
Just a theory.
Trump will eat Rubio alive if he tries to block the agenda. I actually hope he does try, but I think Rubio is so craven that he won’t try to submarine a president elect with so much political juice.
