It was an honor to have been considered for Secretary of State of our great country. My discussions with President-elect Trump have been both enjoyable and enlightening. I have very high hopes that the new administration will lead the nation to greater strength, prosperity and peace.
Indeed. Romney, as far as I have seen, has not taken back his nasty comments toward Trump.

If Mitt came out with a statement like Fiorina did today I surmise that the disgust wouldn’t have been as harsh. For a “diplomat” he wasn’t able to show any graciousness towards the President-Elect
This comes on the heels of former Trump advisor Roger Stone saying that Trump only held the meeting with Romney about the position in order to "torture him," however Trump’s transition team has recently denied these claims.

In the final analysis SoS is a negotiating deal maker. Tillerson is a proven commodity.

Everybody is playing nice to be in pole position as Plan B when Tillerson is not confirmed by the Senate.

Yes. Implementing the President’s foreign policy. Advising the President on matters of foreign import, advising the President on appointments.
Basically managing all things foreign diplomacy and advising the President of all things relating to foreign policy and diplomacy.

You are assuming the Chamber of Commerce will go to bat for Tillerson? That must be what Trump is thinking.
