There has been no proof any secret services may somehow influenced the outcome of the presidential campaign in the United States, Russian presidential spokesman Dmitry Peskov said about media reports some Russian hackers, allegedly supervised by Russian secret services, had repeatedly obtained unauthorized access to US servers with the aim to secure Donald Trump’s win.
"Enviable regularity various Russian mass media have been publishing such allegations. With enviable regularity many high-ranking US and British Officials have been making such statements and likewise with enviable regularity none of the absolutely groundless claims has been propped up by any information, let alone proof," Peskov said.
He pointed out that such media claims looked like "absolutely groundless, unprofessional and incompetent charges that have nothing to do with the reality.". Share
Why would the Russians care who was elected our President?
Its not like they would know in advance who would win.
And they certainly would not want to make an enemy out of Hillary, who by all accounts, had been set to win the election last month.
Countries don’t undertake moves of a far-reaching nature without some assurance their interests will be advanced.

Jill Stein spent a lot of money she fundraises to help refute this allegation of Russia influence. Also I think we are a bit too early on this as Congress hasn’t even counted the Electoral Votes.
The Last Days of the Obama administration is making sure that Russia is reduced, economically, politically or by reputation. Obama wanted a war with Russia, and Hillary certainly did and failed to get elected. (IMHO) if Obama could launch a Nuclear attack against Russia before he leaves and get away with it he would. I resent John Mc Cain for parroting the Democrat talking points and giving attempting to give the Russian story undeserved legitimacy. All I can see in my head is are the pictures of Mc Cain on his overseas trip to the Middle East when he was meeting with confirmed Al Quada terrorists. It then runs in all the media outlets as if this were true, but why?

There were blatant attempts to swing the election to one candidate over the other, and those attempts were made by ABC, CBS, NBC, MSNBC, CNN, and even FOX. Add to that the WP, NYT, LAT, etc., etc.
These outfits failed to deliver the election to Clinton on a silver platter like they thought they could, so now they are trying to blame their failure on someone or something else. First it was #fakenews and now it’s the Russians. I’m sure the Russians had a preference, just like the US has a preference in other elections around the world. But, the biggest and most obvious attempt to jigger the election was internal not external.
All the uproar about #fakenews coming from the likes of CNN, MSNBC, and others is laughable. They are the primary spreaders of fakenews.

Bottom line, nations constantly interfere with each others internal affairs overtly and covertly to support their interests (Which is why I disagree with your notion that this is an "extraordinary claim"). However, the results of foreign interference are almost always uneven and unpredictable. Unless the two nations are greatly unequal in relative power, (Russia in the Caucuses, China in SE Asia, US in Central America) the results are not anywhere near decisive. Too many other factors are in play for Russian (or the converse) interference to have a decisive effect.
