Rand Paul threatens to block Bolton nomination
EXCERPT:
Sen. Rand Paul is threatening to block President-elect Donald Trumps likely pick of John Bolton as the No. 2 in the State Department.
The Kentucky Republican, who serves on the Senate Foreign Relations Committee, could stop the hawkish former ambassador to the United Nations from getting out of committee if there is unanimous Democratic resistance. The committee is narrowly divided among 10 Republicans and nine Democrats, and Paul said Sunday on ABCs This Week that hes an automatic no on Bolton.

the nutty acorn doesn’t fall far from the nutty tree.
If Trump nominates Bolton, Paul must sign on. Enough with the pipsqueak losers: Rubio, Graham, McCain, et al.
Rand Paul has never won anything but the senate seat he holds and he is doing a piss poor job in that. Who does he think he is second guessing the next President Donald Trump.
His time in the senate is based on daddies coat tails and he is serving on borrowed time.
It’s hard to believe anyone is still “a big cheerleader” for the Iraq war, but if Bolton really is, I’d need to hear his side of the story before dolling out the criticism. He never stuck me as someone who throws America’s weight around indiscriminately.
Personally I’ve always liked John Bolton. He seems to me a no-BS kind of guy that’s not to be fooled with. Exactly what is required to be part of the Trump administration.
Yep, Bolton looks and acts crazy. But it’s a good type of crazy. Secretary of state? I don’t think so.
*Bolton should get “nowhere close” to the State Department, Paul concluded*
Time to stop your mealy-mouthed whining, and time act like a man! Screw you Randy!
Trump/Pence ~ MAGA! ~
Oh shut up Rand, you and your idiot of a father are two people who should NEVER have/have had a saqy in government!
Imagine twelve million people who are already here coming out of the shadows to become new taxpayers.Imagine Rand Paul out of a job.
He is right in the general sense about Iraq being an unneeded disaster.
If Iraq does show that the Middle East can support one Constitution democracy, will Rand still be angry, even though that will encourage its spread? Wouldn’t this be the best way to combat terrorism?
FURP
Tell me again, Mr. President Rand Paul, how many electoral votes did YOU get?
Why is our side jumping on the “no WMs in Iraq” bandwagon? They were there. Our troops found them. A big bunch of it was known from satellite photos to have been convoyed out of the country. Many of the huge number of PTSD cases stem from their discovery and possible use. WMB being stumbled upon in Iraq is like Agent Orange in VN in the effects on our troops Bush thought he was avoiding a rush by the Iranians to grab off the WMD by keeping the discoveries secret. He was naive. Too many returned troops talk about bumping into WMD and radioactivity in Iraq. They are ignored by the press and by Conservatives, even. I have heard it from too many veterans. I am sure many of the rest of you have, too.
Alice visited a saner place than Rand lives in....
Rand is right about this. If the current Republican majority decides to start another round of Iraq style nation building; we’ll end up with Democrat controlled House, Senate and White House - just as happened last time.
