In an interview with Syrian newspaper Al Watan this morning, Syrian President Bashar al-Assad stressed that Israel alone is Syrias enemy.
He who conquers our land is an enemy country, not [merely] a country whose leaders employ hostile policies. Israel alone remains our enemy country.
Our land is apparently a reference to the Land of Israel itself, and not Syria, which Arab news outlets reported yesterday the Israeli Air Force had bombed.

Don’t forget also Jeremiah 49, the prophecy against Elam. That’s where Iran’s nuclear facilities are. Most likely all those prophecy will get fulfilled simultaneously.
Apparently you are very desperate to be ‘popular’.
I prefer to state my opinion... popular with the Bibi-crowd or not.
And you know what they say about opinions. I prefer the truth, myself.
Yeah, I thought about adding it. A little different, IMHO, they were using PLO.
Still, pretty much proxies....
Of course. Just as you appear to.
I couldn’t put all of it on my tagline. Maybe, hmm, read the Bible prophecy’s they’re all coming true?”
I know your sort of “truth”.
Comedy gold.
Of course. Haters of the truth would react to it in that fashion. And other ways.
Listening to the god of this age is not the way to go.
They sure are, then there is Ezekiel 38 about Persia, written about 10 years after Jeremiah’s. Ezekiel doesn’t mention Elam there, may be because by that time Elam has already gone boom. But that will be one very long tag line.
Then stop following the father of lies.
I have to offer your own advice back to you.
Here I am, a Jew and a person who likes to visit Israel (I even had thoughts about moving there if Hillary had won.) and I've been rooting for Assad. Obama hates Assad, and there's something to that adage that the enemy of my enemy is my friend.
From all I can tell, this Assad has never engaged in hostile action against Israel. When I heard about the reported recent Israel airstrike near Damascus, I just assumed it was in support of Assad and Putin. I view this apparent statement by Assad as a way to try to unify the country, and otherwise full of sound and fury signifying nothing.

Obama doesn’t hate Assad. He never would have stepped back from what’s going on in Syria if he really did.
Assad wants the Golan for himself and has said so many times. What he doesn’t want is the entity that used to be called Al-Qa’eda in Iraq to have it instead of him.
I'll tell you you why, but it requires a little bit of history.
1. The Syrians state acquired the Golan from the French in 1944. They used it as a staging area to attack Israel from 1948 on.
2. They used it to attack Israel in the 1967 war.
3. They lost it in battle to Israel in 1967.
4. Israel controlled it from 1967 until 1981. They legally annexed the Golan by vote of the Knesset in 1981. It then became a part of Israel.
5. The Syrians had the territory for 19 years in total. Israel has had it for almost 50 years now. The Syrians lost it in battle. This is a time-honored way in which territory is changed.
6. The Syrian claim to the Golan is the same as Muslim claims to all non-Muslim land. They think it should belong to them.
7. Should Spain return itself to the Muslims? The Muslims conquered it in 711 and ruled it for almost 8 centuries. The Spanish finally kicked them out in 1492. I hear no clamor for Spain to return itself to Muslim rule.
8. Golan is now part of Israel.
Finally another FReeper on this thread who sees things clearly.
That makes two.
This.
The other part of this is Israel gave back the Sinai to Egypt in supposedly peaceful land for peace(1973). It was never strategic to give back the Golan or the Sinai for that matter. That never worked and no land for peace has ever worked and that includes Trans Jordan.
Why would Israel give back the Golan when there are zero guarantees of any peace? I don't understand hos this is Bibi's fault. Assad is just projecting muslim hatred against him toward Israel because of the bombing retaliation( See last week for Syrian rebels killing Israeli's with mortars).
BTW, as for Assad’s forces being aggressive in the Golan, there is this.
