He's lying through his teeth!

Someone, smarter than he is, told him to say that.

Socially committed, but not too bright.

Just catch an oblong ball and run with it.

No one pays you to think.

Former QB? Earlier this season? So he has been released during the season? Since my interest in the NFL is somewhat low these days I have no idea who he played for nor do I care for his rationalizations. As far as the NFL goes I am just debating whether I should watch the Super Bowl or not. The half time show with Lady Gaga is right out. The game holds maybe minor interest if Tom Brady and the Pats make it as he tries for a record 5th ring for a QB. Might watch it for that or not.

Genuinely curious: Does anyone know if Cromartie uses some of his personal fortune to help homeless vets, or does he just take a knee?

he took a knee during the national anthem earlier this season in order to protest homeless veterans.

There are all kinds of ways to bring attention to worthy causes that don't involve offending millions of your fellow citizens - all of them more effective.

No, he protested because he’s an attention whore. No sincere person protests during the national anthem unless he hates America or loves offending people (or probably both).

And he thought of that protest cause while negotiating to buy the Brooklyn Bridge.

If he is so serious about helping homeless vets why didn’t he just take some of him multi-millions and actually do something to help the vets?
