WASHINGTON, United States — Former Green Party presidential candidate Jill Stein dropped her efforts Saturday to request a vote recount in Pennsylvania, one of three battleground states won by Donald Trump where she is challenging the results.
“Petitioners are regular citizens of ordinary means. They cannot afford to post the $1,000,000 bond required by the court,” read a filing submitted in the Commonwealth Court of Pennsylvania.
On Twitter, she later added: “#Recount2016 is so expensive because of elected leaders who have refused to invest in a 21st-century voting system.”

Jill Stein said she will make an announcement at 10 a.m. Monday regarding the election challenge in Pennsylvania following a filing Saturday evening that she could not post the $1 million bond needed.
Stein released this statement:
“This is yet another sign that Pennsylvania’s antiquated election law is stacked against voters. By demanding a $1 million bond from voters yesterday, the court made clear it has no interest in giving a fair hearing to these voters’ legitimate concerns over the accuracy, security and fairness of an election tainted by suspicion. No voter in America should be forced to pay thousands of dollars to know if her or his vote was counted. Still, the recount continues and we will fight to ensure the civil and voting rights of all citizens are protected. We look forward to announcing our next step on Monday and we will pursue every available remedy to ensure Pennsylvanians can trust what happened in this election.”

If Republicans contested an election there would be fury from the left. This Green party to help Hillary has crickets. The BS factor is 100%.
She took their money once again. Jill took more money during the two weeks after the election than in her entire campaign.
The Clinton’s took gobs of cash from the left. They have nothing to show for it.
I do not expect that to go quietly into the night. 100’s of millions gone like a fart in the wind.
Trump is one that can handle that knowledge and they know it.
I think they make it expensive for precisely this reason: so dim-witted losers who received less than 1% of the vote can’t ask for a recount just for the purpose of tying up the state election board. It stops petty people who have trivial reasons to recount.
I believe she did this for the money. She has $7 million. Why can’t she pay $1 million? Could it be she never intended to spend any of the money she scammed out of these losers?

Why could we not have legislation that would issue mandated rules that must be followed for anyone wishing to vote for a Federal candidate - Senator, Representative, Vice President and President? Paper ballots, picture ID, master voter list, no absentee ballots except military, no early voting, etc. Seems like something the House and Senate could put together with approval by the president.
Let states do whatever they want for local and state candidates.
There should be punishment for those who call for, and get recounts, where it then has no effect on the outcome.
I’ll donate to a “Put Stein in an Asylum” fund. Even the bats think she is super batshit crazy and they should know.
That cuts the other two states recount off at the knees. Why now, go though a useless and wasteful exercise when there is no earthly way it would make a difference?
