There is so mush B.S. about what happened that the locals are all up in arms. Kind of like what happened in Ferguson a false narrative has been ingrained into the minds of some people and some very small protests have started. Jefferson Parish Sheriff Newell Normand has said that he will allow peaceful protest but beyond that you will be arrested. The JSPO does not play. We still have to wait for the facts to come out but Ronald Gasser has been released with no charges pending.
BTW, Joe McKnight was a 28 year old black man and Ronald Gasser is a 56 year old white man.

So some BLM type claims the white guy was standing over the black guy shooting him.
The truth is that the white guy never left his car and the shots are consistent with black guy leaning down towards the shooter. Was the black guy in the window, trying to attack the shooter? Is the white guy now deaf? I was in a vehicle when a .44 was shot out the window(30 years ago), I have hearing loss to this day. I can’t imagine the sound IN the car.

So let me see if I have this right. Protest but get out of line and you go to jail. Admit to shooting Joe McKnight and the sheriff gives you a ride home?

No other gun has been found. They were standing in the middle of a street arguing when Gasser fired his gun twice. A witness claims Gasser said,”You ain’t going to do that again” before firing. I don’t know how credible that is, but that kind of action contrasts with him waiting for the cops.
We need more info to see if this guy was a psycho or felt threatened.

False news, anyone?
Interesting how witnesses can get the facts so wrong. First reports made it sound like the shooter pulled the football player out of his car and executed him. The facts didn’t add up.
I frickin’ knew it. The initial reports were all favoring “the witnesses” (in other words, the ballplayer’s buddies that were with him). We were told that Gasser pulled the guy out of his car (like this 54 year old guy who looks like he weighs about 160 soaking wet) is going to pull a former football player out of his car. Then we were told that McKnight was merely standing when he was shot. Then we were told that Gasser shot him additional times after he was down and said, “I told you not to f*** with me!” So far, the witness reports are all full of crap.
And he was released without being charged, that’s how much of a psycho he is.

The “witness” should be under arrest for deliberately making a false statement.

More than likely McKnight was at Glasser’s car threatening to kick his ass and was reaching in to hit him or making an attempt to get Glasser’s door open when he was shot. That will probably be the truth that comes out.
