It says the area was not secure so I think he went by the book.

Just watched Black Hawk Down for the 30th time...the commander faced a similar situation. These copters are sitting ducks in firefight situations and they will never have a good answer for RPG’s .

I read the article. The General definitely needs to be questioned about his decision not to send a rescue helicopter for the Green Berets. Another commander further away did send a helicopter for the men.

I wonder if the transition team were aware of this incident.
We don’t need another Benghazi.
