But of course. ;-)
To his kids or a third party?
The guy is making huge sacrifices for this country
But before December 17th.
better be to his kids
They don’t deserve to have the liberals strip them of their family business
On the first Monday after the second Wednesday in December (December 19, 2016), the electors meet in their respective States to cast their votes for President and Vice President of the United States.
This takes incredible courage for a man who has worked so hard
all of his life to persoally accumulate wealth and a business empire.
Its a giant leap for the Donald.
It shows courage, trust and patriotism.
This is a very great man.
We are very lucky to have him.
He has impeccable timing, it is after the Electoral College vote, which makes legal sense.
“Under pressure to avoid any appearance of a conflict of interest, Trump announced his plans in a series of tweets but did not explain exactly what he would be doing with his assets.”
Seriously? He’s doing this to avoid any appearance of conflict of interest? Like he wouldn’t do the right thing-to do the right thing!!!!
“We Pledge Our Lives, Our Fortunes And Our Sacred Honor”
December 13, 2016States must make final decisions in any controversies over the appointment of their electors at least six days before the meeting of the Electors. This is so their electoral votes will be presumed valid when presented to Congress.
Decisions by states' courts are conclusive, if decided under laws enacted before Election Day.
December 19, 2016
The Electors meet in their state and vote for President and Vice President on separate ballots. The electors record their votes on six "Certificates of Vote," which are paired with the six remaining Certificates of Ascertainment.
The electors sign, seal, and certify six sets of electoral votes. A set of electoral votes consists of one Certificate of Ascertainment and one Certificate of Vote. These are distributed immediately as follows:
- one set to the President of the Senate (the Vice President) for the official count of the electoral votes in January;
- two packages to the Secretary of State in the state where the electors met--one is an archival set that becomes part of the public record of the Secretary of State's office and the other is a reserve set that is subject to the call of the President of the Senate to replace missing or incomplete electoral votes;
- two packages to the Archivist--one is an archival set that becomes part of the permanent collection at the National Archives and Records Administration and the other is a reserve set that is subject to the call of the President of the Senate to replace missing or incomplete electoral votes; and
- one set to the presiding judge in the district where the Electors met--this is also a reserve set that is subject to the call of the President of the Senate to replace missing or incomplete electoral votes.
U. S. Electoral College: 2016 Key Dates
I do agree that this takes some courage, is a sacrifice, and so on. The sad thing is, it won;t deter the press in the least. They will insist that he is still conflicted. They do not apply this standard to other politicians, many of whom own commerical real estate.
The Electoral college meets on the 19th; see Robert delong’s post:

The democrat tactic of using endless surrogates to file endless endless trivial lawsuits over frivolous ethics and conflict of interest charges
This tactic was used to harass, paralyze, impoverish and delegitamize Sarah Palin and contributed to her resignation as Governor of Alaska
I don't think it will work financially, Trump has deep pockets, but it will be a constant constant barrage of legal suits by the democrats to try and force an impeachment...every family gathering there will be filed a lawsuit as a "conflict of interest" claiming they discussed business and he used his office to benefit them....if they hurt his kids and ruin the family business, that's a bonus to them

News conference called on Obama’s birth certificate
With President-elect Donald Trump widely expected to turn back many of President Obamas progressive executive actions and legislation, a shadow from the past has reappeared that may also impact Obamas legacy: his birth certificate.
WND has learned that a news conference has been scheduled for Dec. 15 to make public the final conclusions of the investigation by the Cold Case Posse in Arizonas Maricopa County under Sheriff Joe Arpaio, who was defeated Nov. 8 in his bid for a seventh term.
Arpaio launched his Cold Case Posse, under the leadership of investigator Mike Zullo, in August 2011 at the height of the controversy over Obamas birth certificate. Dozens of lawsuits had been filed challenging Obamas constitutional eligibility to be president, alleging he wasnt a natural born citizen.
I don’t think Trump is in any way confused about what he can expect from the press, so I don’t attribute this move to be motivated by the fake “news” of conflict of interest.
I take this as a good sign that DJT knows how much work there is to do, and is willing to sacrifice and dedicate himself to it. America will be lucky to get the energy of his undivided attention. The press butt-hurt is going to be a pleasure to watch!
“He should annonce an IPO and take company public”
IPO? Going public? That would be the worst decision Trump could make. Better to leave his business concerns in the hands of his qualified and experienced family trust.
That's a good point, and obviously, from the nature of the separation, he is not following advice from the press.
I expect the din of manufactured concern and outrage to increase over this announcement. The only thing he is separating from is operations. This suggests that his financial interest will not be changed, and of course, his children will still be running the businesses.
-- The press butt-hurt is going to be a pleasure to watch! --
Heheheh. I stopped watching about the day after the election. I still watch the parts of the Sunday shows where Priebus, Conway, Newt, and other Trump-friendly people subject themselves to the inanity of the press, but that's about it.
