"Its going to be good to have a president elect who knows the difference between good and evil once again."

Very telling! Thank you for the summary.
Castro was aided and abetted in gaining power by the NYT
They ran a series painting him as modern day Robin Hood
It had a tremendous effect on how he was viewed early on and greatly influenced foreign policy toward him
What’s that funny feeling I started to notice. I think I used to have it.
I know! I’m starting to feel pride in my President again.
It’s overpowering.
So you also are a proponent of the ridiculous stripping of our language of magnificent words in order to make what YOU consider more powerful “declarative” sentences. Do you take Hemingway and the Chicago Manuel of Style to bed with you like some take a Teddy Bear? Trump’s way of speaking is his own. Americans heard him and were not turned off as you seem to imply. Get off your editorial kick and listen to what Trump is saying. It is his God Given Right to speak as he wishes instead of being subjected to the “perfectionism” of others. Adjectives and adverbs add color, nuance, and deeper meaning to basic words. Guess you also like short sentences as are found in children’s books.
Washington Post as well.
Both the dimmacrats and the pope are rending their garments, and gnashing their teeth.
...stark difference’s... Odungo as usual, says nothing. Trump says what most Cubans know...he was a tyrant, a murderer,
It was Herbert Mathews of the NYT who was the main reason Castro had support here in the USA early on
He painted him as some kind of Robin Hood

Figures it goes hand in hand with the NYT being duped by Stalin and their writer winning a Pulitzer in the late 30s
The truth.
This statement probably earned Trump another million Cuban votes. I know most of the expatriate Cubans in America despise Castro, but I suspect most of those who remain in his decrepit hellhole hate him just as much, even though they’re terrified to say so.
Never accuse the Washington Post of being real news. This was simply a mistake that got by the grief-stricken editor while he was searching for a synonym for “saint.”
That’s so ridiculous that it doesn’t deserve a point by point reply. Every writer needs an editor; Trump is no different. His great statement could have been made even more powerful with some minor editing. Too many thin skins who don’t want better & better for a Trump admin or the country. I support & voted for Trump. He knows there is always room for improvement and that perfection is a goal, not a state of being.
I don’t understand how Catholics can tolerate that moral fraud.
When he was in Cuba, the Pope didn’t even see fit to meet dissidents and offer them his moral support.
History will not judge him kindly.
As soon as Obama was informed of Fidel Castro’s passing, he swiftly ripped his clothes, putting sackcloth on his loins and began to mourn for his hero LOL
Your definition of perfection may not be Trump’s definition of perfection, or anyone else’s for that matter. Editing may or may not be an improvement on the original. Forcing everyone into a box considered “better” does not always fly. The “voice” of the writer or speaker should be maintained, not made into just another “standard” discourse.
Yah, well, Fulgensio Bautista kinda asked for a revolution, that mafia b@sdtard. When we gonna stop propping up fascist dictators in the 3rd World, in this case, for the benefit of cheap sugar. Our neanderthal foreign policy does nothing but enable commies. We need to smack ourselves awake on this issue and learn who REALLY controls our foreign policy:

I do too!
