The only people in the UnitedStates right now that this government is at all interested in prosecuting for child sexual abuse are the Roman Catholic priests. Everybody else can pretty much do as they please, so long as they are willing to pass some $ under the table, lobby for this or that and so on. The richer and the more politically connected you are, you are the more you can get away with, especially in this arena.
Nope, he did far worse than that. Read the article - he basically invisibly modified posts to him to make them appear they were directed at others. Digital forgery as it were. Also, possible DMCA violation.

Huge issue... it shows that admins at reddit can impersonate other users online... creates huge legal implications.
