“Do we need to rein in what they can buy?”

No, but the taxpayers should not be paying for it. The “N” in SNAP is for nutrition. There isn’t a pennies worth of nutrition in soft drinks.
The other thing that these leeches do is pay for their “groceries” with food stamps then roll out their cash for booze.

Aid is supposed to keep one from starving, not supply luxuries. The poor want of course luxuries like anyone.
Still they should work for them.

BUMP. I’ve lived in these (once) neighborhoods (now states) and seen it. So sad. Daddy’s in jail, Mommy can’t cook, kids grow up lugging Mama’s Pepsi home.
