The New York Times exposed the threat of fake news even before the election of Donald Trump two weeks ago, arguing that spreading faulty information is a threat to the Republic.

The paper highlighted alt-right conspiracy websites publishing outrageous lies masquerading as news in a piece headlined “Journalism’s Next Challenge: Overcoming the Threat of Fake News.” The Times interviewed journalists and “longtime critic of fake news” Sen. Claire McCaskill (D., Mo.) about how credulous Americans often fall for narratives that confirm their pre-existing biases without proper vetting from objective reporters.

“If you have a society where people can’t agree on basic facts, how do you have a functioning democracy?” asked one D.C. editor.

The answer could be found on social media. “Folks, subscribe to a paper. Democracy demands it,” one Times reporter wrote. Another added, “Or don’t. You’ll get what you pay for.”

Times readers had the inside scoop that the nation was witnessing “Hispanics Surge to Polls,” which would serve as the mortar in Hillary Clinton’s blue wall. The surge would not have been possible without the Clinton campaign, which was “Looking to Expand Lead With Hispanics” through Spanish-language ads and get-out-the-vote operations, as the Times reported on Oct. 2.

Virtually every reporter on the Times wrote and never deviated from the narrative expounded by its owners and senior editors. How could they call themselves journalists after having ignored the trove of information that came from Wikileaks and never doing any credible investigative reports on the corrupt Clinton Foundation. This attack on “fake news” is an example of projection. Sadly they have no real insight into their own failings. The Times will never reestablish its credibility until the Sulzberger family and people like Carlos Slim lose control of the paper.

Democracy demands nothing. Look what you see walking around these days and realize - they all get to vote. I'm all in favor of a literacy test at the polls.

And you think I have to pay for your lies. That's nothing but crap. If people weren't buying your lying rag the powers that be would find a way to spread their lies for free. You know, the lies that are already embedded in every TV show, just about every new song, the local free ad bulletin, the schools, your workplace - you name it, the lies are everywhere. And they need to tell us their lies more than we need to buy your paper.

We have to realize that this was all put in place when they thought Hillary was going to win. This was how they were going to justify shutting down all the “fake news” sites even though they were the only source of real news. We would have been so demoralized by Hillary’s win that we would just roll over.

But they failed to appreciate that YHWH is running the show and no weapon formed against Donald Trump and Mike Pence will prosper!!

It's not just in other countries. They do the same thing here. They just recently made it legal to propagandize the American public but legal or not they have been spreading their lies to us, in our own country, for a long time.
