A top aide to Donald Trump is pushing back on a report that the president-elect ripped media executives and reporters during an off-the-record meeting on Monday.

“No that’s not true at all. I sat right to his left. He did not explode in anger,” Trump aide Kellyanne Conway said Monday, disputing the account during an interview on Bloomberg Politics's “With All Due Respect.”

He needs to start doing interviews with reporters from outside the beltway like Des Moines, Atlanta, etc.
They aren’t journalists...so they don’t respect “off the record”...and they view themselves as enemies of Trump, so they don’t care, as long as they can get a cheap shot in, they’ll take it.
He has the ability to go over their heads now and he will use it if they don’t treat him fairly. Some - maybe most - won’t anyway. They sold out long ago.
Anything other than a kissing of Media ass would be described by horrified “journalists” as exploding in anger or as condescending insult or both. I suppose he told them they needed to get their acts together if they wanted access. It is not as if Trump doesn’t have alternatives to them. He can give his press conferences for reporters from Breitbart and Conservative Review and other such, even Infowars if he wants to really get a lot of their goats.
