Few states pay closer attention to food than California. We are the cradle of the Central Valley and almond milk lattes, the home of of Full Belly Farms and Alice Waters and Ikeda markets, the state that introduced America to soda taxes and tomatoes to die for and cage-free hens.

Once again californians prove why most of them are major losers. Please, when your state collapses because of your LIB idiocy...stay there. Stop moving and bringing your mentally deranged attitudes with you.

Liberals are control freak fascists.
They claim they want everyone to stay out of their bedrooms but then inject themselves into or kitchens and restaurants.

Yeppers.
Though I’d be happy if they allowed that incidental hybridization of GM foods with unmodified were classed an “Act of God” denying companies like Monsanto the ability to sue if the wind or bees carry pollin from fields grown their produce to other farms.
I’d even like, given that non GM food has a peculiar market value of its own, that farmers should be able to sue Monsanto for not taking steps to better prevent contamination of natural strains.

My view? Let kids decide what to eat, not a busybody FLOTUS and in your face federal bureaucrats.
I don’t want the Left or the Right to tell me what to eat.
DON’T TREAD ON ME.

anything that’s forced down people’s throats (literally, in the case of Michelle’s brocholi for rug rats program) is going to meet with resistance
the school people reported that the garbage cans were overflowing after Michelle’s lunches were served

We are the cradle of the Central Valley Big whoop. You're destroying food production because 1) the filth you've elected are punishing farmers since the valley is conservative, 2) you're sending precious water (that farmers deserve) to southern kal to hydrate the lawless third world crimigrants and 3) to take care of some obscure, worthless marine life in the delta.
You were saying?

Oh good. Are they insisting Trump stop the insanity of turning corn into overpriced energy, thereby forcing down world grain and feed prices to the benefit of modern consumers AND third worlders?

California fruit is the worst ever. No flavor, bland.
Their wine is also at the bottom of my shopping list.
Can’t think of anything from that state I can’t do without.

Good food policy??? For the Sake of Pete, it was just announced that whole milk is good, that 2% - 1% was causing childhood obesity and it would take 3 classes of the watery stuff to give the same amount of calcium / D that you get in one serving of whole milk.
The Case Against Low-fat Milk Is Stronger Than Ever
Their food policy is settled nonsense!

Ideally, Trumps cabinet would include a smart California voice, such as former state Secretary of Food and Agriculture A.G. Kawamura. But either way, political ideology must not be permitted to trump basic access to clean air, pesticide-free water, safe meat and produce and decent school lunches. The SacBee is run by delusional marxists.
