Some liberal snowflakes are wearing safety pins on their shirts to show they are a so-called 'safe space' for others following the election of Donald Trump as our 45th president. A hack columnist at the liberal website Slate called on like-minded Americans to wear the safety pins to show solidarity with those who may be 'afraid' of Trump.
How ridiculous is this?
Supporters say the safety pin is not meant to be political, but to show solidarity with minorities against bigotry and hate.
In response to the safety pin movement, some 'Deplorables' have come up with a brilliant idea: #SuckItUpStraw.
One woman posted on Facebook posted:
"To the folks wearing the safety pins for the "anti-Trump" protesters, I present MY version of the "PRO-Trump" movement: the "Suck-It-Up" straw… "

And here's a fun fact that's sure to freak out these safety pin wearing pansies! Walter Hunt, the man who invented their beloved safety pin also invented the forerunner of the Winchester repeating rifle known as the firing cock repeating gun!
Look, the whole thing is ridiculous: Safety pins, cry-outs, safe places, playing with play dough, therapy dogs, and special crisis counseling?!?
Meanwhile, strong Americans or 'deplorables' are busy cleaning up the filthy mess Obama has left us and will be working full time rebuilding our country from the ground up, restoring law and order and MAKING AMERICA GREAT AGAIN!
I am happy to report that, in my travels, I have not yet seen one safety pin on a person. Must be doing something right...

I work with immigrants. Not one of them expressed fear or worry after the election last week. They came to class in a good mood, as always. One lady commented that the system here is different than in her native country. These people are here to better themselves and make a go of it in a new country. They are very motivated to improve their language skills and are working hard towards that. Whatever their political views, they don’t talk about them.

Everybody at Lowe’s in Wilmington, DE were wearing safety pins with green ribbons. I was going to take a safety pin, reverse it so the safety doesn’t show and attach a red, white and blue ribbon.
My wife is an immigrant. She’s ecstatic Trump was elected.
