The US vice-president elect, Mike Pence, was booed by a theater audience when he attended the hit hip-hop musical Hamilton in New York on Friday night and then had a message about protecting diversity delivered to him from the stage after the curtain call.
On Saturday, President-elect Donald Trump accused theatre-goers of having harassed Pence, writing on Twitter: Our wonderful future V.P. Mike Pence was harassed last night at the theater by the cast of Hamilton, cameras blazing. This should not happen!
He also demanded an apology: The Theater must always be a safe and special place. The cast of Hamilton was very rude last night to a very good man, Mike Pence. Apologize!

Would be funny to find out later that Trump somehow owns a piece of the play.
The ticket prices from Ticketmaster in that area are $849, resale tickets which are shown on Ticketmaster as well are $1499 in that location.
I had to move out to July 5th to see Ticketmaster pricing in that area because those sections are all sold. There are sometimes tickets available in the 2-3 days before the performance. Cast & producers are allocated tickets for family/friends/VIPs etc and those seats are released in the last 3 days before the show.
RC, who booed? Was it the cast, audience, both?
well...according to the media it was the audience...
For you, RC, :-) I looked at it...was holding back as to not raise my blood pressure. It’s not that the content of the speech was the worst, but I object to Pence being drawn attention to, and being a captive there and it being forced upon him as well as on the audience. If I had paid for a night out, this certainly would have ruined the whole experience.
So, will we be back to a Daily Dose?? :-D
#BoycottHamilton - good, hope it hurts ticket sales and Dixon doesn’t work in that town again.
I’m not saying he shouldn’t send Twitter messages. I just wish he’d get away from the ones that make him come across like a whining malcontent.
There is a time for peace and a time for war (Eccl. 3:8).
I trust God to guide President Trump and VP Pence to determine the best time for both.
I bet they love those pictures. The kids see the magic that has carried those dancers through all the difficult days.
LOL. The media. Well, I guess we know what’s worth. Anyone know for sure who did what to whom?
Then again...
If it’s the cast, PR nightmare and they’re screwed.
If it’s the audience, cast still might be screwed cuz who wants to pay $$$/$ to sit in an audience likely filled with ill-mannered boors.
I haven’t seen a Broadway show in years. Won’t be any time soon.
What a great thing to know. I have so many favorites that closed. Jane Eyre, Scarlet Pimpernel, Civil War...
It’s mainly the 1%ers who have bought the tickets. Many who have grouped season tickets and large corporations that hand them out to impress clients. If enough refused to attend, that would send a message.
True. Voting with your feet.
That was most definitely not clear from the way you posted it. So if I misunderstood you, then I apologize.
And if it was the audience and not the cast, why the heck didn’t someone from the production come out and tell the audience to put a sock in it. Pence paid for his ticket, too! Grrrrrr.....
Alex is lying. He must be a demoncrat. Tickets are for sell online everywhere.
And about exhausted... Kids do not understand the “tucker out” factor for adults. An exertion like that would be like their recess time to the kids. What, miss ballerina? You’re pooped ALREADY? You look like you were just beginning to have fun!
Maybe they could possibly have their understudies do the photo work?
Thank goodness, I'm not. I'm a Texan!
