Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe said he believes Donald Trump is a leader in whom he can have great confidence after meeting with the president-elect Thursday.
Abe, who became the first world leader to meet with Trump since his election, was seeking reassurances over the future of U.S.-Japan security and trade relations. He described the meeting as "really, really cordial" but offered few details of their discussion.
"I do believe that without confidence between the two nations (the) alliance would never function in the future and as an outcome of today's discussion I am convinced Mr. Trump is a leader with whom I can have great confidence in," Abe said at a press conference following the meeting, where he took only two questions.

So refreshing to have a real leader in charge, instead of a wuss who leads from behind.
And Trump is receiving these people in his $100 million apartment. This is what he created through his efforts and not mooching off the government like Obama.
This impresses the Japanese to no end. It also impresses me something fierce.
And I bet Trump didn’t apologize.
If we didn’t know any better, you’d think Trump planned it this way back in the 1980s. Maybe he did think that he needed an apartment that impresses people. It’s all part of his magnificent vision of what he’s about.

That is a very good point. He is inviting all these people to Trump Tower and his decked out apartment to show that he is for real and knows how to create wealth. He is no BS artist like Obama or Clinton who steal for a living.
I saw the Japanese coverage of this meeting on NHK via Dish Network.
In Japan they must have given 30 minutes coverage to this meeting and they stopped other programming to show it.
It’s a big deal. And Abe said some really nice things which has got to please Trump.
And don’t kid yourself, granting a big meeting like this to Abe gives him a big boost as a leader at home.
It’s all in the big plan...
The grin on Trump’s face in the picture is not fake. Looks like he is having a grand time. Such a welcome relief from looking at Barky’s sour face.
