It'll be "very hard" for President-elect Trump to undo many of the social changes President Obama implemented in the military should he decide to do so, the Army secretary said on Thursday.
Eric Fanning acknowledged that the path to social change over the course of history "has never been purely linear."
"But I do think it's very hard to roll things back completely," Fanning said at the Defense One Summit in Washington. "Society is changing very quickly."
He also said the decisions the military has already made will make it more difficult to kick people out of the service who have already been accepted.

Who's using "stress cards"? Where?
The Army in boot camp now are given a phone call every Sunday ,and are given a stress card to use if they feel stressed.
I don’t know about the phone calls, but the stress card thing is nonsense. A long-standing rumor based off a proposal that was never actually implemented. At most, cards were handed out with contact information for help if recruits were considering doing something really stupid like going AWOL or attempting suicide (which they do).
A friend of my sons, actually his best friend went into the Army while my son went to the Marine Corps and his friend said that they are given stress cards too
Sorry, not part of the younger crowd, just a recently past Army training Bde XO at a major BCT/AIT/OSUT post. Still have close ties to the IET world and sorry, your second hand info is indeed incorrect.
Well I will go on what the young guys have said who have just gone through boot camp,. I know it is embarrassing for you ,and I feel for your beloved Army, but lets face it . Many of the people in it today should not be there.
That is based on first hand knowledge too, from the people I know in the Army, and who I talked to at MEPS.
I think we can agree that we hope Trump gets the military back into a fighting force, free of his social justice cra, and make these boys into men. No more phone calls on a Sunday , no more PC, no more of this treating recruits like little babies etc ,
