During the past week, two of the world’s biggest internet companies have faced mounting criticism over how fake news on their sites may have influenced the presidential election’s outcome.
On Monday, those companies responded by making it clear that they would not tolerate such misinformation by taking pointed aim at fake news sites’ revenue sources.
Google kicked off the action Monday afternoon when the Silicon Valley search giant said it would ban websites that peddle fake news from using its online advertising service. Hours later, Facebook, the social network, updated the language in its ad policy, which already said it will not display ads in sites that show misleading or illegal content, to include fake news sites.

Screw Google. I want the Trump administration to mandate that the FCC punish major news networks, newspapers, and political magazines who spread unverified garbage masqueraded as news aimed at damaging someone or their political party just because they disagree. I think multimillion dollar fines for first and sevond offences but three strikes should be all it takes to pull their licenses to pretend being a unbias news source.

This is not Soros’ new strategy. I was told back before the 2004 election that the libs wanted to use new technology to isolate conservatives from the masses. They planned to give the masses liberal controlled news and conservatives would get sources of news that would get smaller and less reliably available.
I believe the person who told me was one of those DNC paid internet trolls. At the time I thought he was just talking. Now I realize he really was connected because that is precisely what they are doing now.

“Fake news” being anything with a right wing slant. Add in shadow banning and manipulation of trending issues and let’s face it: you have more freedom to post right wing opinion and news on the dnc website than Facebook or twitter.

I clicked on one of those web page links to see “...shocking photos...” and was sent to some Facebook page that had a picture of Clint Eastwood with text underneath “...gone at 84...”, so I clicked on that click-bait and WHAM! got a page similar to the one you got, that spoofed a Microsoft web site and claxon horns and sirens were screaming while a digitized voice said “...a malicious virus has been detected on your computer. You must allow our technician to access your computer to make it safe on our network...”. Clicking on the red X to close the window did nothing. I had to use Task Manager to stop that process. I scanned my computer with Norton afterward and Norton found no virus.
I agree with that!!
Norton IS the virus.
I would like to see the setups on those paid trolls from the tech perspective.
