On Nov. 8, Donald Trump managed to pull the biggest upset in U.S. politics by tapping successfully into the anger of white voters and appealing to the lowest inclinations of people in a manner that would have probably impressed Nazi propagandist Joseph Goebbels himself. But what exactly does Trump's victory mean and what can one expect from this megalomaniac when he takes over the reins of power on Jan. 20, 2017? What is Trump's political ideology, if any and is "Trumpism" a movement? Will U.S. foreign policy be any different under a Trump administration? Some years ago, public intellectual Noam Chomsky warned that the political climate in the U.S. was ripe for the rise of an authoritarian figure. Now, he shares his thoughts on the aftermath of this election, the moribund state of the U.S. political system and why Trump is a real threat to the world and the planet in general.

Yeah, because Stalin’s Communist Party that murdered 20 million of its own citizens, and Mao’s Communist Party that murdered 60 million of its own citizens, weren’t dangerous at all.
Asswipe.
Hmmmm. Didn’t we just hear one of the tolerant peaceful protestors say the other day that somebody’s gotta die before we straighten this out? Was she volunteering?
Yes. And that authoritarian figure did indeed rise, and rise quickly, in United States politics, eventually becoming president.
...
Fortunately for us, he's leaving office on January 20, 2017.

Now is the time for Trump to appointment the most far right extreme conservative ideologues (do any exist?).
The left has been crying wolf for so long, that if Trump were to select Rush Limbaugh for Secretary of State, no one would care.
I say do it Trump. Bring in Franklin Graham and other Christian leaders into your cabinet.
The hell with what the New York Times says. Their days are numbered.
Yes, Chomsky, we are.
And we have guns.
BE AFRAID.
Five words: Idiot, idiot, idiot, idiot, idiot.
Mao’s regime was the worst in world history in numerical terms. In terms of land, it’s basically a tie between Timurlane, Nebuchadnezzer, and Moctezuma.
And we’re supposed to work with these people, when they can’t come up with ONE good thing to say about us, when we’re trying to save the best nation in world history? Trump is a uniter; they are the dividers.
Oh oh, the self-hating Jew has spoken.....
God Bless President-elect Trump. He has exposed all the fakers for who they are.
He helped expose the fake Republicans and fake conservatives.
He helped expose the media as nothing more than partisan hacks and liars.
And he has exposed the left for who they are, bat shit crazy people, thugs and criminals, and fake adults who act like whining crybaby children.
But, based on what the lsm and assclowns like chumpski put out there, noting will equal the Trump presidency for evil. Uh, yeah, okay gnome chumpsky.
Didn’t we just vote 60s radicals the hell out of our lives?
Yep, very dangerous to anti-American socialists.
Actually pal America hating scumbags like you are much more of a danger.
The most dangerous to communists and their agenda, he means.
Noam Chomsky has become one of the worlds’ most irrelevant people in the world... living in the dust bin of the cheaper side of pop culture...
It's occurred to me that liberals are currently acting like people act when the demon that possesses them is being driven out.
Wouldn't it be wild if a week or so goes by and then millions of people wake up completely normal, hungry, and confused as to where they are and how they got here?
Lol!
Don’t think they’re gonna wake up.
Record these over-the-top statements for posterity. We need to be able to look back and point out to the voters what absolute buffoons these snake oil salesmen really are.
