Fox News anchor Megyn Kelly said Tuesday on ABC’s “Good Morning America” that one of her lowest points during the 2016 presidential election was when her 5-year-old daughter asked her what a “bimbo” was, referring to comments President-elect Donald Trump made about Kelly on social media.
In her memoir “Settle for More,” Kelly explains how Trump harassed her on Twitter, calling her “lightweight,” a “bimbo” and “average in so many ways,” The Washington Post’s Erik Wemple wrote this week.
She said Trump’s comments opened the door for others to say much worse.

True story: back in the Clinton era I was in the grocery store. My 3 yr old was in the cart basket and my 6 yr old was standing next to the cart. Another mom parked her cart next to mine and her little boy who was about the same age as my 3 yr old daughter began talking and passing a toy back and forth. I noticed my son was “interfering” in their play and I asked him what he was doing. “I’m trying to separate them, Mommy”. I asked him why and he said, “because it might lead to an improper sexual relationship”. The other mom and I burst out laughing and later I asked him to explain what he thought that meant and he told me he didn’t know but he had heard it on TV.
