"Drill, baby, drill!
During her bid for vice president in 2008, that was Sarah Palin's crowd-pleasing chant promoting her energy policy. Now the pithy catchphrase and the former Alaska governor herself could make a comeback.
News reports say Palin is on President-elect Donald Trump's short list to head the Interior Department. As secretary of the interior, she'd be in charge of overseeing oil drilling, uranium mining and other energy extraction on 500 million acres of public land, including iconic national parks like the Grand Canyon.
The pro-mining policies Trump and Palin could be expected to bring to Interior would mean EWG and other public land advocates would have to resume a fight we thought the Obama administration settled in 2012.
Under President George W. Bush, the Interior Department tried to open up uranium mines near the south rim of the Canyon. It was a scheme that even The Arizona Republic, once a champion of the so-called Wise Use movement, denounced.
If Trump does make moves to open up uranium mining around the Grand Canyon, Palin wouldn't stand in his way, judging from her quip in 2011 about opening the Alaska National Wildlife Refuge to oil drilling: If a caribou needs to be sacrificed for the sake of energy independence, I say, Mr. Caribou, maybe you need to take one for the team.
In a few months, she could be leading the team.

I hope TRUMP does it!
Palin was one of the very 1st to endorse him! That gave TRUMP a HUGE BOOST!
Quote:
“Palin at Interior would make this the best election Ever.”
Couldn’t agree more.
I usually only wear earplugs at the range.
Dont tease me ! The cavernous brain cavities of the vacuous hitler youth progressives exploding would me monolithic. *wishful hands clasped praying, whimpering stuttering sigh* Ohhhh, just as some are clumsily beginning to pick themselves up off the ground wobbling against the walls of their muddled mind.
Reaching, hands trembling for the slightest glimmer of hope.
Then BOOM ! SARAH ! I dont know if Im well-knit enough to take all this winning.
I suggest you keep them handy for mixed social gatherings as well. It might just save your sanity or their life! :)
And keep in mind, it’s just getting started.
That would be maybe the most beautiful appointment he’d make. The start of the recompense from the wrongs of 2008—and years thereafter.
Bennett is not a NeverTrumper. He’s been an informal advisor for months. It took him awhile, (as it did for many of us) but he’s on board.
I don’t, or try not to, attend mixed social gatherings anymore.
Too surreal. The cognitive dissonance was overwhelming.
There ya go!
Awesome
That should earn Trump some kudos from the feminists with a female appointee...
This would be a thing of beauty if it happened. But I’d be shocked if Sarah Palin was willing to move to D.C., so I rate it unlikely.
” I cant handle all this winning!”
Trump did say that we’d be winning so much we’d get tired of it.
ROFL!!!! You sick #### lol
rofl!!
I saw Bennett on a list of Never Trumpers a while back. He must have reconsidered.
We will soon see a conservative political paradise take shape.
The question for us is, how shall we regard the God who orchestrated it all?
Surely it would be wrong to actually worship Donald Trump. Who arranged to give Donald Trump nine times nine political lives?
I believe there is more coming down the spiritual road that is going to make these political victories, as Yuge as they are in their own context, very small things.
WHAT ARE THE OPINIONS ON THE BOARD from those who know better than I do about the estimated 150 trillion dollars worth of oil on federal land?
I’m PRETTY SURE we are against government selling of oil, right?
Do we make a bundle and get a cut of we lease it out?
Do we sell it?
I have NO KNOWLEDGE of the subject so I’d appreciate some good answers :)
More Great News! Love it!
