If we don't address the costs that people pay for health care services then we are going to fall apart as a country and its going to become obvious to everyone before the year 2020 is over. The amount of its expenditures that the federal government spent on health care last year was approximately 37% of the total amount. Its been growing at an average rate of 9% per annum. And we already have laws on the books to deal with these monopolies, even if Congress does nothing.

I am not sure what Trump can force on Congress. None supported him.

He can first go in and try to work toward these goals, or he can go back, as a tyrant would, to the “pen and the phone”.

This avalanche of whining, demanding and threatening Trump right in the middle of his time-crunched transition by the Left and the *NeverTrump Right seems like trouble in search of a cause.

Trump and every other politician is wrong on “healthcare.” The whole area needs to be brought into line with the Constitution i.e. returned entirely to the market. That means the Federal Government getting entirely out of the field of Medicine and Insurance. Just vacate. Allow it to play out as the market determines. Medical care would very quickly come to be available to more people at far reduced prices. The government’s only legitimate function is the guarantee of weights and measures as in the Constitution (remember that tract?) That can be construed to require truth in advertising and labeling.

Trump can and will revoke the usurper’s executive orders. He has promised to revoke the unconstitutional ones, and I hope he will just revoke all of them.

Trump can and will sign a bill repealing Obamacare. I hope there will be no immediate replacement. Negotiate any replacement after the repeal is signed, or after a repeal of everything other than preexisting conditions and staying on parents’ insurance to age 26 is signed.

Trump can and will start enforcing our immigration laws and deporting illegals. Trump can and will start construction of the wall.

I’d call all of that a good start. The rest of it? I hope he has a VERY aggressive agenda for those first hundred days. I also hope he will use every bit of energy he has to cut EPA, Energy, Education, and other frivolous spending in the first year, before the election year silly season starts.

Erasing Obama’s entire legacy would be awesome! Anything beyond that is gravy, and I’m hoping for lots of gravy. We need to roll back our lost freedoms and regain even what was lost before Barack Hussein took power.
