GOOD NEWS! Trump-Basher Paul Ryan May Not Have 218 Votes for Speaker
Gateway Pundit ^ | Saturday November 12, 2016 | Jim Hoft

Posted on 11/12/2016 11:07:53 AM PST by GilGil

Paul Ryan spoke out against Republican nominee Donald Trump ALL YEAR. Ryan announced in October he was pulling his endorsement of Donald Trump. He held a separate press conference to tell reporters he would not campaign with Donald Trump.

Paul Ryan cannot be trusted. He is loyal to the elites and not the people.

Paul Ryan is pro-amnesty, big government, pro-TPP and anti-American worker.

Donald Trump won an historic election on Tuesday winning 306 electoral votes.

But Republican lawmakers do not respect their base. They are voting this coming week to reinstate Paul Ryan as speaker.

But Republican Rep. Tim Huelskamp says Paul Ryan may not have the votes to keep the gavel.

“I believe Ryan will remain in close contact with Romney. Doubt if Trump could ever truly speak freely with him.”

I feel the same way about Reinhold Richard “Reince” Priebus only it’s not just Romney he’s chummy with.

Ryan was a compromise anyway — the only candidate who could get the Boehner/McCarthy vote and still get enough Tea Party votes to get to 218.

That’s what I thought - the vote is in January AFTER the new House reps come in. I don’t understand why they are talking about this happening next week. I must be missing something.

Who in the House can best advance the agenda we want?
That should be the question. I don’t know the answer.

When Newt was Speaker, the biggest problem was the Senate GOPe, the Mcconnell’s constantly sabotaging Newt.

The Speaker of the House need not be an elected Representative.

How about Newt for Speaker? A do-over.

Yup. I saw the video of Trump and Ryan. Pathetic. Ryan was spinning BS so fast it was incredible. He must think Trump is a fool to buy Ryan’s spin.

That’s good news. He’s been a bad Senator for quite some time.

Thanks for posting that information, AuntB.

Paul Ryan is not a decent and honorable man.   He can't be trusted as far as you can throw him, and is definitely not "a man of his word".   He didn't even make a serious attempt to try to block any of Obama's hare-brained, America-harming initiatives.

In his "token support"/non-support, "token support"/non-support, "token support"/non-support, "token support"/non-support, "token support"/non-support, "token support"/non-support, "token support"/non-support, of Donald Trump, and of all token "efforts to stop" Obamacare, and all the various other Obama schemes and follies, he seemed to take guidance from the opening three lines of this song:

"Reelin' and Rockin'" - Chuck Berry
Sometimes I will, then again I think I won't
Sometimes I will, then again I think I won't
Sometimes I do, then again I think I don't.

McC is now leader precisely because he was a loyal supporter of previous leaders and he waited his turn.

That grin made me sick, and he’s already trying to undermine him on immigration and trade!

Can we work very hard until the vote to make sure Paul Ryan is not speaker of the house when Trump becomes President?

wrong, if we can get rid of him we should. He is going to try to block a lot of what Trump wants to do. He’s the worst kind of politician
