DONALD Trump's protectionism has already stirred a hornet's nest in Europe with bureaucrats threatening an unprecedented clampdown on the new US president before he's even entered the Oval office.
And the European Commission's tax chief has got the president-elect in his crosshairs after a meeting on Tuesday which began identifying countries which the EU intends to place on a tax blacklist.
In an astonishing interview European Commissioner for Economic and Financial Affairs, Taxation and Customs Pierre Moscovici refused to rule out putting the USA on its blacklist.
And he insulted Mr Trump calling him a “populist provocateur” before branding the USA a "strange country."
The incredibly bold statement comes as The Transatlantic Trade and Investment Partnership trade negotiations being carried out mostly in secret between the EU and US are likely to hit the buffers.

By arming themselves and slaughtering the Islamolunatics welcomed by their spineless politicians, the Euroweenies MAY learn the manly art of self-defense and that may even lead to another manly (and womanly) long overdue drastic increase in procreation by native Europeans, maybe a return to the faith(s) of their ancestors and a restoration of Western Civilization. If THEY can’t be bothered to defend themselves and their women and children, why should we pinch hit for them or fund their efforts?
What produces another Reich is another Hitler type, not another German) with a capable army. Bring our troops home and allow the Germans (and the Japanese) to be grown ups and defend themselves or not be defended at all. Konrad Adenauer or Helmut Kohl with a full German military force would have posed no threat to us whatsoever. With or without a military, that witch Merkel is a menace to Western Civilization.

Merkel is an absolute idiot. As for some of the people on the right over there, I’m not convinced they aren’t NAZIs down deep inside. And I’ll be the first one to state, I don’t know that for sure. I may be wrong.

Our troops on the line have also discouraged adventurism by other nations who knew we’d be “IN” immediately if they were threatened.
It’s a reasoned argument I think, both sides on this one.

When Ronaldus Maximus was POTUS, his supporters in government and party called him "the oldest and the wisest." Something like that term had originally been applied to Adenauer (Der Alte) in West Germany. Adenauer managed to leave public life pleading ill health (a lie) when it was obvious that the Nazis were going to prevail in German politics and society. Adenauer knew that men of the West untainted by Hitler's crimes would be needed to rebuild and govern. When Hitler blew what passed for his brains out in the bunker, Adenauer had an instantaneous and miraculous full recovery from those "health problems." Neither Germany or the world would have benefited from Adenauer suiciding by symbolic and futile resistance to Hitler
Germany has been badly damaged by the hideous decline of its Roman Catholic Church as an institution from the Hitler era when Michael Cardinal Faulhaber (The Lion of Munich) spent Hitler's era quite publicly in Hitler's face, taking in Torah Scrolls to his cathedral for safekeeping and daring Hitler to do something about his defiance. Today's Catholic Church in Germany is a menace to Western Civilization led by rampaging heretics like Walter Cardinal Kaspar (gay marriage and anything goes morally and a ring leader in the election of Frankie the Apostate), Reinhard Cardinal Marx, who heads the German Bishops' Conference into rampant heresy in exchange for government funding of the Church and many other apostate bishops. Among German Protestants, I am aware of no Dietrich Bonhoeffers nowadays. Religion is dead in Germany.
The coddled dears found (like much of the West but most of all Europe) that it was just too damn much trouble to raise children. As morality died, so died the optimism and gumption to bear the next generation. Besides, raising children meant homes and cars and travel that were not as luxurious because raising children costs some money. Germany and the rest of Europe became materialistic to the nth degree and cynical as well. The "Christian" Democrat parties persistently degenerated and became quite amoral.
Defense spending is expensive and just plain icky compared to universal child care and other feel good welfare state schemes. Besides, due to the Cold War, the United States paid the freight lest the spineless spoiled Eurocowards knuckle under and join the Warsaw Pact and not love us any more (if they ever did). The Cold War ended some time ago. Putin is not Stalin or Andropov.
It takes a while to raise children (and many were never born) and suddenly it dawned to Euroimbeciles like Merkel that too few children meant too few workers and jeopardized the comfort and materialistic "lifestyle" of Europe's aging selfish natives. WHO will do the work of producing goods and services for the native born (and often childless) welfare state enthusiasts??????
And Merkel and other Euroidiots looked to the idle and miserable damned of Islamofascistan to solve the self-created problems of spoiled aging Europe. In the Vatican, Frankie the Apostate Blunder and worst pope since Alexander VI demands not only Marxism but also unrestrained immigration of Islamofascistan to Mother Europe. Frankie won't be satisfied until the last Catholic Church in Europe is burned or bombed and the last European priest strangled or crucified, together with the last Christian child.
Using American troops as a tripwire to protect the worthless of Europe is not a real plan. Which adventurous nation might take advantage? Russia? Europe (except Poland and Hungary and maybe one or two other nations has reached a point where domination by Putin and the Russian Orthodox Church would be a distinct improvement.
The EU isn’t happy with the US unless it’s grabbing its ankles.
