Teacher pushed by protesters at College Park High

PLEASANT HILL, Calif (KTVU) - We’re told two teachers from College Park High School were involved, one of them punched and shoved.

The video is hard to watch. A crowd of people can be seen pushing each other around, and at the center of it all is a teacher and a student fighting.

Both the teacher and the student have their arms around each other’s neck. Witnesses can be heard screaming, yelling “stop". Teacher pushed by protesters at College Park High

Then, you see the student get pulled away by an adult.

"That teacher and the other teacher that got punched were trying to block the hall but it didn’t work out," said student Armon Aziz.

This was supposed to be a peaceful protest.

We're told students from area high schools organized a walk out but started marching through other schools to recruit more protesters. Pleasant Hill police had been monitoring their march.

"When we heard from Pleasant Hill Police we had about 15 or 20 minutes before students arrived on campus, so at that time I sent an email to all the teachers saying that this is a possibility and to please not bar students from leaving but to take account of who they are," said Principal Joseph Alvarez.

In another video we obtained, showing the moments before the students entered College Park High, you can hear school officials on the loud speaker warning the oncoming protesters to be peaceful.

"We provide students the opportunity to express themselves but I do not condone at any time when you impede educational progress at any campus," said Principal Alvarez.

The principal says he left the gates to the school open because he heard students were jumping the gates at other schools and he didn’t want anyone getting hurt.

"Everybody was kind of trampling each other so everybody went at each other," said one student.

School officials say they went into lockdown mode, shutting the doors to the classrooms and that’s when the fight broke out.

"Hopefully we’re able to identify the student in that video," said Principal Alvarez.

We saw the teacher leaving after school let out, he didn’t want to talk but said he was ok.

School is not in session Friday in observance of Veteran's Day so students say they hope the protests don't start back up on Monday.

Lawlessness....watching someone break the law is not enforcing it.

Ah so. Life in the liberal San Francisco sunny suburbs. Bliss in ranch houses at half a million up. The American Dream. ( Might have worked , too — if these antisocial pack rats had had any parents?)

I keep saying the police gotta start using their clubs like they’re trying to open a pinata.

Or just make a ton of new prisons for new criminals.

Take the money from welfare/snap.

Note the press:

1. Says “Pushing” in the actual title when the teacher was obviously punched.

2. Says “protest” when it was a riot.

3. Making every excuse possible for the likely illegal alien rioters. “Not sure who started it.” Really? How about the kids who rioted and beat the teacher?!

You’ve got millions in this country who know the game is over for them and they must self deport.

This will save us BILLIONS AND BILLIONS (to quote Carl Segan) in taxes — schools, healthcare, welfare, etc.

The principal left the gates open so these “protesters” could get in? What if there was a fight in the school (obviously there was) what if someone got seriously injured. This principal let in a potential problem just to push their personal attention.

Really? The police allowed people not supposed to be at a school march right in without signing in? Try that as a parent and see what happens.

That won’t even get you an outhouse!

This principal should be FIRED for allowing an unsafe situation like this to develop. Why on earth did he open the school gates? His flimsy excuse that students in other schools were climbing the gates was pathetic. If students violate the law and climb over school gates, and then get hurt from their actions, maybe they’ll learn not to climb school gates. Can you imagine this idiot principal in charge if there was a gunman or hostile invasion of the school? This fool would throw open the gates and invite them in!
