The CEO of Grubhub, an online food delivery service, sent a company wide email Wednesday suggesting employees who agree with President-elect Donald Trumps behaviors and his campaign rhetoric should resign.
If you do not agree with this statement then please reply to this email with your resignation because you have no place here, wrote Matt Maloney, Co-Founder of Grubhub. We do not tolerate hateful attitudes on our team."
Maloney, a Hillary Clinton supporter, sent the email Wednesday afternoon with the subject line, So

whats next? He made it clear in the email statement that he is personally stunned and deeply concerned with the results of Tuesdays election.

I find your email to be full of intolerant, HATEFUL bigotry. As you have violated your own policy we all assume you are resigning.

The conservative view is that the business should be allow to fire employee who does not hold the same belief.

I disagree. It is uncivil either way. The civil thing to do is agree to disagree, love each other as Christ would. I’d hate to think I could lose my job just because my current employer finds out how I voted and threatens the well being of my family. The assumption than somebody voted a certain way because of “x/y/z” reasons is arrogant (I “know” the only reasons you could have voted how you did). Their reasons for voting a certain way is personal and does not need to be explained.
