Washington (CNN)An emphatically upbeat President Barack Obama promised Wednesday to work toward a "smooth transition" of power to the man he's spent the last year denigrating, insisting that despite his differences with President-elect Donald Trump he would uphold the central tenet of American democracy.
Speaking in the Rose Garden as some of his aides sobbed, Obama made a deliberate effort to counter Democrats' crushing sense of doom at the prospect of four years of President Trump. "It is no secret that the President-elect and I have some pretty significant differences," Obama said with Vice President Joe Biden at his side. "We are now all rooting for his success in uniting and leading the country."

Privately, he’s chewing his own arm off.

Step one
make some sort of gesture that convinces folks you’re a really great team player ‘for the nation’
Step two
start making some small suggestions, now we must work together for the public good
Step three
make your demands mandatory by saying you’ve gone out of your way to be nice, why can’t the other side
Step four
demand compromises that you were never willing to make, saying your side is willing to give in a little too (which you never will), and denigrate the other side for not capitulating
Step five
after you get concessions, keep escalating the demands until the other side has become your side, and then don’t let up, coming up with more ideas that are dead center of your side’s ideological core
Step six
When your side is in power again, discard all this
don’t give an inch
when the other side tries to pull this routine on you, simply tell them you’ll see them in four years

‘’A smooth transition..’’. How accommodating of him. I still can’t believe Trump won. I’m in a dream. I’ve lived on a thin diet of hope deferred thinking I’d never get to see my country be saved from Leftist dysfunction and a growing tyranny. Thank you God.
Well, Obama does really hate the Clintons, so perhaps he is just a bit happy today.

Maybe Barack is secretly grateful that FINALLY those wicked puppet meisters have met their nemesis. He was in bondage to them; now he’s free. A superior power has appeared on the scene.
Trump (and Repub Congress) will roll back most of what Obama did:
Obamacare, Iran deal, and executive orders.
What Trump can’t roll back are Obama’s appointments to the federal judiciary.
I doubt you will change your attitude. I am also very cynical of the rats. He doesn't mean a word he says. It's all for show.
All the while he was destroying the economy, driving more people into the welfare rolls, with further destruction of the black family.

Trump better be careful when he goes to meet Obama tomorrow..check the coffee make sure there is no arsenic in it
He's going to run to get back into the Senate in 2018, and possibly become Senate Majority Leader should the Rats retake the Senate.
