They really are pathetic. Wonder if there would be any interest in a Thanksgiving award to the "Biggest Turkey" in the "Academic/Media Bird House": A competition between the likes of Billy Kristol, who congratulated himself for defeating Donald Trump last night, before the returns had made it clear who actually won; David Brooks, a fatuous Times by-liner, who felt qualified to denigrate the IQs of Trump supporters, a few days ago; George Will, who should have stuck to the subject of summer baseball, etc..

Maybe we could let Governor Kasich enter the contest. His antics helped give our candidate the best performance in any of the States that Obama carried previously.

I know we should be generous in victory, and those chaps--and a lot of others do deserve a parting recognition, before they drift into a well deserved oblivion.

What really helped Donald Trump, in my opinion, was a clear understanding that those whom he rallied against, were clueless, as well as utterly corrupt, and dangerous in their pretensions & associations; that understanding, coupled with a John Wayne like contempt for bullies, motivated him into stepping into the breach, to defend and restore the heritage that almost all Americans once honored.

It was clear insight and a moral compass--even more than personal wealth--which powered Donald Trump's valorous effort.

Yes indeed. How did it ever come to pass that American taxpayers were forced to fund, as a “public service”, a public media entity which supports and shills for one side of the political spectrum, namely the left, even if they oppose it? It’s as bad as the unions and forced dues. President Trump should make the this one of his first acts, this one should be easy.

Ah, that makes sense.

Always loved studying history, particularly early American (pre-19th century) history. However, I just finished devouring the Aubrey/Maturin series by Patrick O'Brian recently and have found a new passion for events in Europe during the Napoleonic era (although to be fair my interest is still mostly with the burgeoning influence of a young America during that period).
