Hispanic voters were largely credited with President Obamas victory in 2012, but they werent as crucial as many believed. Mr. Obama didnt even need to win the Hispanic vote to put him over the top, thanks to high black turnout and support among white voters in the North. The turnout among Hispanic voters didnt surge, even though exit polls implied that it had.
This year, Hispanic voters, perhaps motivated by Donald J. Trumps policy proposals (including deportation) and harsh language aimed at undocumented Hispanic immigrants, really might decide this election. Early voting data unequivocally indicates that Hillary Clinton will benefit from a long awaited surge in Hispanic turnout, vastly exceeding the Hispanic turnout from four years ago.
Its too soon to say whether it will be decisive for her. The geographic distribution of Hispanic voters means that many of her gains will help her in noncompetitive states like Texas and California, not Michigan and Pennsylvania.
But the surge is real, and its big. It could be enough to overcome Mr. Trumps strength among white-working class voters in the swing states of Florida and Nevada. If it does, it will almost certainly win her the election.
In Florida, voters who indicated they were Hispanic on their voter registration form represent more than 15 percent of the early vote. In 2012, Hispanic voters were just 12 percent of the final electorate.

This article reads like something my second grader wrote.
More propaganda from the NYT.
That absolutely false. They are looking at turn out in Hispanic areas and assuming those voters are Clinton. They have no idea who the votes are actually for.
Hispanics do not vote en block for Dems like the Blacks. Romney did the worse with Hispanics of any GOP candidate and got 27% of their votes.
This is another example of a “political analysis” looking at data and trying to fit his personal ideological theory of “racist Trump”.
Hispanic lumps together widely varying groups such as the Nortenos in New Mexico who have lived in that state for centuries, and illegal immigrants who the Nortenos dislike very much. I think Trump can draw a lot of the Norteno vote, especially since a lot of them are irate at the feds for restricting their access to a lot of National Forest lands that used to be communal property before the Forest Service took it over.
“EZ” voters......

You’d think the others from places south of the border, would know corrupt politicians as well.
I think your assessment is correct.
The NY Slimes is simply basing their “analysis” on the races of the voters. They have no idea whether Hispanics will actually vote for Crooked Hillary. It’s actually antithetical to the self-interests of U.S. citizens to vote for someone who will inundate the U.S. with even more cheap labor that’s paid under the table, depressing wages of working stiff everywhere even more.
I’ve seen reports today saying Trump is getting 40.71% of the Latino vote in Florida, 42.8% nationwide, and Hillary leading Trump overall nationwide with Hispanics by just 3.4%
I would not worry too much.
Plus, there are far greater numbers of white voters than Hispanic anyway.
LoL-that was my exact thought too, and wouldn’t you know it, 1st comment
Okay Nate. Maybe a lot of them are voting for Trump. Then you will hate them.
By the way, Nate, how about an article on WHITE VOTE SURGE?
“The geographic distribution of Hispanic voters means that many of her gains will help her in noncompetitive states like Texas and California, not Michigan and Pennsylvania. “
10 days ago they were all giddy trying to make everyone believe Texas was in play...
This kind of story is being aired frequently all over the lap dog media; however, Pence spoke on it and said most Hispanics want the same things all Americans do, better jobs and so on.
So, I’d take a bit of a caution on these stories so far.
Won’t make any difference.
NY never goes republican.
How is that????
I should have added that The Slimes is now simply grasping at straws, as they, like everyone else, are seeing early voting numbers showing Pubs ahead of 2012 numbers and Dems behind 2012 numbers in multiple swing states.

Says Trump Latino support about same as Romneys was.
Considering the source, that seems VERY good.
We have a winner of the thread! You win these interwebs today!
White voter turnout....LOL
If Trump wins will the dems build a wall?
