Yet he didn’t have the insight to stay grounded in a brutal storm with not much experience flying in one?

There’s 20 year old footage of Trump on Oprah’s show and she’s asking him about a Presidential run. It’s not as if this was a sudden whim for Trump.

If Kennedy was piloting, then they were lucky to get there.
Seriously, if Romney won in 2012, Trump would still be hosting the Apprentice.
Trump is what you get, when the silent majority is denied, four years later.
If Trump is defeated in 2016, who know who we will get in 2020? Guaranteed he/she will make Trump look mediocre.

Sensationalistic headline. It wasn’t a prediction. It was an off-the-cuff remark, joke really, to deflect attention from himself on to Trump. Trump has been asked about running for President since the 80s. Watch the Oprah tape.

I'm more concerned about his father being right:

JFK Jr should have predicted that the Clintons would kill him so that Hillry could be NY’s senator instead of him.

The following sequence had me wonder about Hillary's decision to relocate her homestead to the State of New York...
- the Clintons purchased a home in Chappaqua, New York, north of New York City, in September 1999
- John F. Kennedy Jr. died July 16, 1999 (aged 38) Kennedy was asked publicly if he was interested in politics as a career. He replied no, for the time being, but would not rule it out for the future.[19] Ted Kennedy believed that politics was John's destiny, and urged him to run for several offices. By the summer of 1999, Ted believed that the best chance to return a Kennedy to the White House would be for John to run for Governor of New York in 2002. wiki

Considering Trump lobbied GHW Bush to become his VP in 1988, it’s not weird that someone would take Trump for president at least half seriously some time later.

There are numerous interviews of Trump through the 80's talking about the country/economy's direction. He was asked if he would run, he said no, there were plenty of more qualified people.
Thing of it is, his views today are the same! He has fame, power, and fortune. He didn't have to run for all that. He chose to run. He won't be stealing WH furniture, when he leaves.
