Does anyone else think this could be a play for him to start laying the ground work for 2020 (should Trump lose?)
For the record, I utterly despise Paul Rino. A quisling.
It is hard to imagine how he can stay on irrespective of who wins.
If Trump wins, I can’t see how he could abide having Ryan remain. Objectively, if Ryan has been a major obstacle to Trump’s election, and if the voters override Ryan in favor of Trump, what choice does Ryan have but to step down? And if he doesn’t, what choice really does Trump have to keep him in that role? It is possible, I suppose, for Trump to be forgiving and forward-looking, but even that does not seem plausible.
If Trump loses, and it’s close, as it almost surely will be, Ryan’s lack of support (along with others ... Kasich, Jeb, et al) will be rightly viewed as the key difference between victory and defeat. Even McConnel has come around. As that nation heads into a constitutional crisis with the criminal president that he ultimately put into power, again, what is the choice?
I agree that he’s done.
And I write this as an erstwhile fan of Ryan’s. The GOP could do much worse than to have him as speaker. I just think he has committed political suicide with his choices these last six months.
Another sign of the coming Trump election sweep! The FBI decision to reopen HRC investigation was the first irrefutable sign... stars are lining up!
PAUL...
Step down
Get out of Town
Bol!
+1
Democrats can and will vote for him.
“Hard to believe he was the number 2 member on the 2012 ticket. Disgusting.”
Very true! And if it were not for Trump, we’d all still be in La La Land about those “wonderful, altruistic folks” at the RNC and the GOPe. Talk about a bucket of cocks!
” has been Obamas rubber stamp”?
Ryan has been Obamas butt boy.
Hey Paul, anything ELSE you can cave to the magic negro over pal?
Ya worthless baboso.

These beltway GOP guys have been consulted to death. So fake. Nothing natural about them at all anymore.
It is no one persons party. Donald Trump won the primary fair and square. As a party leader, as the highest elected official in the party, I have always felt a duty to the process, to democracy, to the primary voter who must be respected. And he won the thing fair and square. But no one person controls this party. This is a bottom-up, organic grassroots party based on conservative principles.
Since when? Maybe today's results will make that more likely.
