Chatter is growing louder on Capitol Hill that Paul Ryans days as Speaker are numbered.
Four House Republicans, including a senior lawmaker close to leadership, told The Hill they expect Ryan to step down after Tuesdays elections, arguing that he faces a daunting path to the 218 votes he needs to win a full two-year term leading the House GOP.

Hard to believe he was the number 2 member on the 2012 ticket. Disgusting.

My thoughts, exactly. Maybe he has an honorable mention in a soon-to-be-released wiki leak and he wants to ‘get out o’ Dodge before the shootin’ starts.

That loser needs to go! Tom Price from GA would be a good replacement.

Of course Ryan is a # 2.
Question is will he go down with only one flush?

No sh*t, Sherlock.
Whoever wins on Tuesday, he’s toast.

He should have lost his job after that election.
If a House Speaker from Wisconsin is named as a VP candidate and he couldn't even deliver his home state, then his political influence clearly ain't worth sh!t.
I think 2012 was the first time in 40 years where a major party ticket didn't win the home state of either top candidate (President/VP).

I don’t know why he would want the job. He’s set for safe reelection as long as he cares to serve otherwise.

I don’t believe it.
If he resigns then who takes the blame for the CR that has to be passed in the lame duck session?
I think he’s demanding that he be guaranteed the 2017 Speaker job in exchange.
Of course it’s possible that the Republicans are willin to “shut down the government”- but they never have in the past.

Yes -- but the Democrats won CT (Lieberman's home state).
Maybe my post was confusing. LOL.
