I live out in the country and around February or so is skunk breeding season. So there are a lot of skunk road kill end of Feb. I learned to dodge them. They hit your wheels and you’ve got to drive half an hour to get rid of the smell.

I wholly agree. Almost two decades ago I told a friend that I saw strong analogies in American tensions and factions to those of pre civil war Spain. All that I have seen since then has left me even more convinced. Can Trump back it down, if he wins? Let us hope. However, we may have passed the point of no return.

I remember seeing a picture of a whole collage of death wishes on this level to George W. Bush.

It was made with the photos of military members killed in Iraq and Afghanistan. The point wasn't to wish death on Bush, but to blame him for the deaths of those in the photos. I can't say I agreed with the point, but it was a valid and artistic form of protest.
