Real Estate Mogul and Republican Presidential nominee Donald J Trump has surged to a twelve point lead in Texas over Former Secretary of State and Democrat nominee, Hillary R. Clinton in the latest KTVT CBS 11 Dixie Strategies Poll.
If the presidential election were held today, about 52 percent of likely general election voters said they would vote for Trump while just over 39 percent said they would vote for Clinton. This marks the first time Trump has polled over 50 percent in Texas and casts doubt on any Democratic victory on November 8.

Um, the 38 electoral votes up for grabs might matter a little...
if Trump is up 12% in Texas, shouldnt Trump also be up 12% in Florida too?
Some swing state!
Posted earlier, perhaps with another source.
Comparison:
McCain won Texas by 12.
Romney won Texas by 16.
Hillary generates much more revulsion in Texas than Wendy Davis did. I have no reason to doubt your sources.
VOTE! VOTE TRUMP/PENCE!!!
Absolutely correct! - Not just for Texas, but everywhere! Forget the polls. Now is not the time to relax. We need to proceed on the assumption that this is going to be a very close race, and every vote counts. Get to the polls on election day! Get your neighbors there! VOTE TRUMP!
What baloney. Trump isn’t “surging” in Texas. He’s owned this state since the end of the primary.
I would be surprised, but I would find it amazing.
Vote TRUMP!!
This Texan voted for Trump!!!
California has brought out the conservatives before on issues.
Donald vs. Hillary is itself an issue. Donald could edge California.
It counts for another reason — the popular vote total.
Even in an indigo state. The bigger that total, the bigger the mandate versus a TKO.
“...not surprised ...Trump...states like California...”
New York going Trump would not surprise me. NYC is Trump’s hometown - upstate HATES Hillary.
Even here in the People’s Republic of Austingrad, I have only seen three Hillary signs and two cars with stickers. Still plenty of Bernie stickers. As soon as you leave the city limits and go west into the Hill Country, Trump signs are everywhere. There is no enthusiasm for her here in TX.
I pray you’re right. But from where I live in Silicon Valley, the view is black as pitch. These people wouldn’t recognize a conscience if God wrote it on a meteor and dropped it on their heads.
We had our well man out to work on a pump and told him we were just about to go vote and he said "Yeah I already mailed my vote in for Hillary" pause...."yea right, had you going didn't I". Gotta love that Texas humor.
According to the signs I’ve seen here in east Texas, we’re not just “leaning” red...at least 15 Trump signs, one Hillary sign.
My sister’s boyfriend was here a few days ago, he said in 2012 sis put out the only Obama sign here. Somebody trashed it out in about 20 minutes...
We live across the street from the church that doubles as a polling place. Still not sure if we’ll vote there or in town, the primaries were in town. But I’ll be there with my bright red shirt on. Or jacket if it’s cool enough outside...All my neighbors are voting Trump as far as I know, my mother and sister are the only ones who won’t. Not sure what my mother will do, she hates Hillary as much as she hates Trump.
So it looks like East Texas is definitely primarily Trump. I have a few of other acquaintances on another internet forum who are from Texas, all of those are for Trump as well. Houston, Waxahatchie... Even a couple who don’t like him much, they figure he’s not nearly as bad as Hillary.
“Excuses” to despise Hillary may yet appear. Rats desert sinking ships.
These idiots.
I hope they move back to where ever they came from.
