NEW YORK, NY - Today the Donald J. Trump for President campaign added Michigan and New Mexico to its aggressive battleground state media buy in an open acknowledgment that the campaign is surging in traditionally blue states as well as traditional battleground states. This expansion occurs as Florida and Ohio are decisively turning towards Mr. Trump, and the campaign is seeing strong growth in North Carolina as well.
The Trump campaigns ad placement strategy is being backed by a $25 million buy for the final seven days of the campaign in the following states: Colorado, Florida, Iowa, Maine, Michigan, New Mexico, North Carolina, Ohio, Wisconsin, Virginia, Nevada and New Hampshire. In recent days the Clinton campaign has shown their nervousness about key battleground states as well, restarting ad buys in Wisconsin and Colorado in an effort to blunt Mr. Trumps surge.
The data clearly shows that Mr. Trump's message is reaching voters and we are expanding the map. This addition to our already aggressive paid media outreach illustrates Mr. Trumps commitment to reaching out to all voters in must-win states before Election Day. While Mr. Trump continues to climb in the polls and accelerate outreach in states like Michigan and New Mexico that are rarely won by Republican Presidential candidates, Hillary Clinton is preoccupied fighting the sitting FBI Director and President Obama over yet another email scandal. By increasing our presence in battleground states and expanding into new markets, Mr. Trump is well-positioned for an impressive victory on Nov. 8th." Brad Parscale, Digital Director
I think waiting till the last minute for advertising has been the right decision people have a VERY SHORT memory span!!!! Trumps ads are all positive!!!!
He’s leaving NOTHING to chance, and going after states that his internals tell him are (or could be) in play. He’s got at least $25mil from a PAC and I think $10mil of his own bread, all for advertising. And I love the fact that he waited ‘til the last week to do his ad blitz.
Too bad that, even as he broke records for grass roots donations, more folks didn't open their wallets to him over the months.
Trump is also on the air in Seattle - the Trump campaign, not a PAC.
OMG an absolute favorite of both me and my late wife, my beloved Tea Party Patriot. It was actually a date flick for us.
So am I, but they could be national cable ads. Even so I cannot recall ever seeing a McCain or Romney ad. In those days only ads I saw were for Congress and State legislature. Trump is doing things differently.
Only exceeded by Zulu. And then only because of the warriors singing.
You might appreciate this.
I remember 2008 when the clown-act McCain campaign announced he was surrendering in Michigan. I believe it was earlier than a week before election day, but not much more than that. I knew then he lost. I have a much different feeling now that Trump is on the offensive.
No, ads are running all the time here. Good ones too.
I have a Q for those in states and cities where Trump had rallies. I know how the national media covered //sarc, but how were these rallies covered by the local TV ?
It’s all very exciting!
I agree with you. Hillary’s ads cost millions and are already down the $$$ rat hole, for all the good they did after Friday’s corruption dump.
Trump is “scotch” about money. And Scotch Irish is in his gene pool. :D
I remember the opening scene in March or Die was marvelous.
There was a Trump ad during the Seattle-New Orleans football game! If Washington is in play, game over!
What a scene. I get the point. Thanks for making it.
Coincidentally, I just read yesterday that Sheldon Adelman had finally coughed up $25 meg for the campaign.
Their tears are going to be sooo sweet. I want to lick them.
Moreover I think Trump understands that by now people have heard, digested, and tuned out all of Hillary’s ads, but they have not become desensitized to HIS ads, so he gets an outsized effect, right at the time he wants to peak. If Trump had become an Ad Man, he would probably own the whole freaking world by now.
