Strong enthusiasm for Hillary Clinton has ebbed since the renewal of the FBI’s email investigation.
While vote preferences have held essentially steady, she’s now a slim point behind Donald Trump -- a first since May -- in the latest ABC News/Washington Post tracking poll, produced for ABC by Langer Research Associates.

Third-party candidate Gary Johnson has 3 percent, a new low; Jill Stein, 2 percent.
In just about every election, third party candidates poll several times higher early on in the race than they do as election day approaches. Then the races tighten up and fringe candidates become irrelevant.
Another rule of thumb is that whatever Trump is polling at, add a couple of points on account of voters trying to sound "respectable" and not admitting that they're voting for Trump.
If he’s up 1 in the ABC poll he must be actually up 6.
And others just acting like it’s none of the pollster’s business.

If an ABC poll, a mainstream media poll, shows Trump up at all, he’s probably really up by a few points more than they are willing to show in a poll.
The damn has broken and the flood to Trump is on!
They mean “enthusiasum for HRC declines”.... but they just can’t bring themselves to say that in the headline. The poll shows just that.

Hillary's rallies used to be in the dozens. Now that they're in the hundreds, they're called "enthusiasm."
Other than among dumpy lesbians and geriatric feminists, there never has been and there never will be any real excitement or enthusiasm for Hillary. People just agreed to vote for her because they're convinced by the mass media that Trump and Republicans are devils.
Now watch what will happen next: the media and the Never-Trumpers will say that Trump will win the popular vote but lose the Electoral vote.
Yes, saw “enthusiasm” in headline and thought they were trying to sell that enthusiasm for Trump had declined. Ha.
The most enthusiasm I have seen has been summed up from people saying something along the lines of , “I hate Trump, he has zero experience, and he is rude, so I will go for Hillary.” That’s more spite than enthusiasm.
She can barely attract 300 people to her events... Where is this “strong enthusiasm” they claim to see?
UNEXPECTED
Still this is a poll showing 1% lead. They can easily flip it to the one showing Trump is behind 3~4% right before the election day. Don't freak out if it happens. After all this ABC poll which has been one of the most biased polls.
