Its another attempt to ruin something beautiful and innocent and lovely, she says. We do a lot of looking at each other in this society as that group over there versus this group over there. What clowns are about is, Its us as human beings. Were all the same, and believe it or not, there are some things we will all laugh at.

Is it a backdoor effort by the PETA folks to kill off circuses? The communist Mayor DeBlasio in NYC is on record trying to ban "wild animal performances" and doom circuses. (See Daily News article)

The Liberal push for tolerance and diversity has turned everyone into judgmental puritans who can’t help but point the finger at “them” and demand that they stop being whatever they are. Less tolerance. Less diversity. It’s by design.

It’s another one of those fads that “sweep” the country from time to time. An example of mass hysteria, during which millions of people mindlessly imitate what other people are doing, without using their God-given powers of reason.
The media did its best to help the fad sweep the country, by endlessly running stories on it. It will go away right after Haloween.
By thinking he was saving money by not participating in a consistent and regular dental health program, Pennywise was proven to be Pound-Foolish.
I think Ellen McCarthy is somewhat correct on this. Traditionally clowns were a vehicle for laughing at ourselves, through silly, grossly exaggerated caricatures. Some clown acts have always been intended for adult consumption, but in America in this century, they tended to be designed for young children.
The sicker elements of the entertainment culture have exploited that innocence to make money off extremely dark anti-clowns (e.g., The Joker) depicted as psychopaths. Fools emulate what they see on the screen. That so many people aspire to portray themselves as psychotic fiends is a sign of our times, and it’s not a good one. I feel sorry for today’s children.
I think it’s a PR ploy by Insane Clown Posse and their Juggalo minions to boost record sales and concert attendance.
