Agents within the Federal Bureau of Investigation never destroyed laptops given to them by aides of Hillary Clinton as previously reported, a Washington D.C. lawyer with a source close to the Clinton investigation says.
Washington D.C. attorney Joe DiGenova said on The David Webb Show on SiriusXM Friday night that despite the FBI agreeing to destroy the laptops of Clinton aide Cheryl Mills and ex-campaign staffer Heather Samuelson as part of immunity deals made during the initial investigation of Clintons email server, agents involved in the case refused to destroy the laptops.
According to the agreement reached with the attorneys who handed over their laptops, the laptops were to be destroyed per the agreement after the testimony was given the interviews were given by the attorneys. The bureau and the department agreed to that, DiGenova said. However the laptops contrary to published reports were not destroyed and the reason is the agents who are tasked with destroying them refused to do so. And by the way the laptops are at the FBI for inspection by Congress or federal courts. . .

Whenever I start reading juicy, unknown details on a political subject, I inevitably scroll down to see it’s from you.
Keep up the good work, Liz!
Patriots if true!
Wow!
If Mills lied to the FBI she broke the terms of the immunity deal. IOW, there is no immunity deal.
What I suspect is that the FBI people who were supposed to destroy the laptops instead looked at what was on them, saw that Clinton engaged in crimes, saw that Mills lied (breaking the terms of the immunity deal), and saw that Comey knew all of that and ordered the evidence destroyed anyway in an act to obstruct justice. I suspect that they have held that over Comey’s head, and that is why he is all of a sudden acting as if he’s actually supposed to care about justice instead of lining his pockets and letting his friends go free.
Accountability. It’s what separates free countries from banana republics. My research partner and I have been praying that SOMEBODY within the system would “get it” and step forward. I really, really hope that this is an affirmative answer to those specific prayers for the FBI. And I hope there will be more white hats with courage to step out in all the other hostage agencies as well. 2008 was a coup, and it needs to be undone.
Why should the FBI keep that end of the deal when those who got immunity (from what, no one said) pleaded the fifth when it came time for them to testify?
Maggie Williams took a box of stuff out of Vince’s office:

Your 'emails' are not kept on your hard drive.
I am not saying that someone couldn't get a copy of all their emails downloaded to their hard drive, but on a normal user device (computer, cellphone) your emails are kept on a SERVER. If you think they are on your hard drive, DISABLE your connection to the INTERNET and try to access your email.
I believe you are technically and legally correct on that point. However, the House oversight committee and several members accused the FBI of “handing out immunity like candy.” Hence my confusion on that matter. Also, in the grand scheme, who is really pulling the strings of this whole sordid affair? Obviously, I think it was both the DOJ and director Comey. Loretta Lynch used him as a shield to do the dirty work. But obviously, it was her DOJ attorneys who provided the immunity deals . Thanks for the correction.
Well, that was the deal the corrupt Comey (I believe he is stil corrupt) gave the Clintons and their cronies, and the one the Obama Just-Us Dept gave them. It is outrageous, but the Clintons believe they are "above the law." They expected this sweetheart deal to be carried out.
From the reports I read, it was a virtual mutiny by FBI agents who refused to carry out direct orders to destroy the laptops.
IF this is true, I will apologize for calling all the agents involved in this case CORRUPT!!
Comey is CORRUPT...period....plus his brother does the books for the CORRUPT CLINTON CRIME FAMILY SLUSH FUND!!
Nobody really knows where any of this is going. But it is certain we won’t hear any more from the FBI until after the election. I don’t buy into the Assange bombshell either. We can only hope that what has transpired to date will be enough to drive some of the independents and wavering Republicans over to Trump.
MS Outlook (email) *does* in fact store emails on your laptop.
I’m certain other vendor’s email apps do the same.
Your statement as it pertains to Gmail, Yahoo email, etc., etc. is correct.
I admit the FBI agreeing to destroy Mills’ pc is astonishing.
Mills scrubbed v fosters office before the real investigators arrived.
IMO- she replaced the rug that Vince was rolled up in to cart him out.
The video on the exits of the WH from that day were stolen... they did not show Vince walking out.

I’m glad they were not destroyed and that’s what I would have expected from patriotic and responsible FBI employees.
I have been acquainted with a number of FBI agents over the years both through my work as a leader on a Hazmat Team and through my wife’s and my involvement in “living history” groups. All of the FBI agents that I have met have been fine upstanding individuals who it seems likely would be willing to put their careers at risk if asked to do something that violated their principles. So I am heartened to hear of this story which confirms my perceptions of those I have known.
I’m pretty sure I understand how email works. I’ve been in the industry for over 30 years and have installed email servers, web servers, file servers, you name it.
My point was, that it doesn’t matter if the laptop was destroyed. If they removed the hard drive prior to destroying the laptop, that hard drive may have other information on it besides emails. Even if the emails were destroyed on the SERVER end, those emails could still be available locally on that hard drive. If you use Outlook (which most organizations do) those emails are available even without an Internet connection.
You misstate the case.
your emails MAY or MAY NOT be stored on your hard drive. With my email setup, things are on the server only as long as necessary to download them.
