UPDATE!! Please read!
The University Town Center Mall has just released the following statement:
"The materials created and distributed by a third party company relating to the hiring of performance groups for UTC were not reviewed by UTC staff in advance of distribution. These materials do not in any way represent an existing center policy or viewpoint. We apologize for any confusion this may have caused within the Sarasota community." . . . .

Dear ______ ,
Within hours of yesterday's AFA Action Alert exposing the University Town Center Mall's memo to groups, the Sarasota, Florida mall has reversed its policy and apologized for the snafu. "The materials created and distributed by a third party company relating to the hiring of performance groups for UTC were not reviewed by UTC staff in advance of distribution," said a mall statement yesterday afternoon. "These materials do not in any way represent an existing center policy or viewpoint. We apologize for any confusion this may have caused within the Sarasota community." A spokesperson for the mall now says that Christmas hymns and carols that are "Christian" in nature will be allowed. Earlier this week, a company representing the mall sent a memo out to area groups who are normally invited to perform seasonal music. In it, the mall indicated it desired a cleansing of religious music by stating, "For choral groups, the Mall prefers no clearly recognizable Christian music, such as carols sung in English, spirituals or gospel." Thanks to your efforts, and with Gods help, we made a difference. The UTC Mall error has been corrected.
Will that include no Christmas trimming or Christmas sale signs or the word “Christmas” anywhere in the Mall?
"Just a misunderstanding, that's all...we LOVE Christmas at out mall!"
But if some islamist throws his filthy prayer rag down....
Not likely. I have heard Donald Trump say with him in the White House, it will be CHRISTMAS!
This is what passes as a serious issue these days. A religion in decline produces a bunch of mindless whining and pestering busy bodies fussing over every little trivial things for any sign of blasphemy. On the other hand, it is a kind of easy to do, making many feel that they are doing something without putting investing their time and efforts.
Or Christmas sales....after all, Christianity is the driving force
Be sure to get the word out about this incident and to boycott ALL merchants in the mall. Let mall management know you will NOT be shopping there
Spread the word
God, that is refreshing.
Found it was made of solid lead and hurt their foot when they tried to kick it away!
Praise the LORD!
Jesus gives the victory! When Christians stand together as salt and light, darkness is pushed away.
Pray the church will rise again to be the head and not the tail on public policy.
“This is what passes as a serious issue these days. A religion in decline . . .”
You’re right about Christianity as a religion in decline, both in Europe and to a lesser extent the US, but as it declines, so does the vitality of the Western culture it largely produced. You might consider that just a coincidence or (as many do), you might see those phenomena as intimately related - in which case the decline of Christianity isn’t just a “serious issue”, it may just be the most serious issue of our time.
Or maybe I’m just totally off-base - but at least we can expect to see if a Europe based on materialistic secularism trying to come to terms with Islamism works out better than what was once known for hundreds of years as Christendom.
Donald Trump said if he was elected he would allow us all to say again, MERRY CHRISTMAS.
Amazon.com. no crowds, no lines, no parking.
Yes, indeed! Jesus is the reason for the season!
No Christian music? No Christian shoppers. That simple.
Go to hell with your PC cowardice.
Everyone needs to realize that there is NO LAW AGAINST CHRISTMAS.
It’s all contrived based on the politically correct rantings of atheists, the media and the Muslims.
Nobody can tell you that you cannot say, “Merry Christmas”. Even if some stores ban their employees from saying it, it does not apply to you. In fact, it would be a good thing to totally boycott any stores forbidding it to be said by employees.
Parents need to be flooding the schools to get “winter festival” thrown out and put Christmas back in.
These slimy worms that object the term “Christ”, in “Christmas”, are the first to exclaim, “Oh my GOD” when they are offended by it
Shout “Merry Christmas” to the rooftops, and dare anyone to do something about it. Boycott shows and movies that “dis” Christmas. Do not buy or send any Christmas cards that are not celebratory of Christmas, and it’s meaning.
No one is afraid of one little bee, but if a whole swarm gets after them, everybody runs away in fear. We need to swarm together on this PC crap and take back our language, and our freedom.
Mosleading headline. Mall has already said that’s not the policy
